from a single block of stone, which is said to be one of the

It also has some Giant Footprints, the locals believe
that then Giants built this temple years ago.
Apart from these, the temple’s pillar have a unbelievable
significance.

73. There are several mysteries surrounding the construction of this temple.
Now people have come to a conclusion that any one of the three methods
would have been followed.
1) The temple was constructed in layers. It would take less space and less effort
comparing to other methods. Sand is poured in large amounts as to move
around and place the rock at the center.
2) A 6km ramp was laid from the temple and Elephants were used to pull the rock
and place it at the top.
3) Another Theory is that The huge ramp theory is false and it is not a single stone.
The stone was cut into 8 pieces. It was taken with the help of spiralling ramps
and the stone is joined once again with saanthu(the cement used then)
