October 1911) was a Scots-Irish social worker,
author, teacher and a disciple of X. She spent her
childhood and early days of her youth in Ireland.
She met X in 1895 in London and traveled to
Calcutta in 1898. X gave her the name Y (meaning
"Dedicated to God") when he initiated her into the
vow of Brahmacharya on 25 March 1898. In
November 1898, she opened a girls' school
in Bagbazar area of Calcutta. In1962 Bengali film
directed by Bijoy Basu, based on her life, won a
national film award in best films category and a
presidential medal.

old Jain holy book, to carvings in the Ajanta caves,
and numerous folk tales in different languages from
Gujrati to Telgue, X make for a fascinating subject.
In fact, it took 34 years of constant research for
two Swiss writers, Alfred Buhler and Eberhard
Fischer, to pen a book The ______of Gujarat. The
book was published in 1979. The art of Ikat which
is integral to X has been popular in many
countries across the world, especially in South East
Asia and Central Asia. Thus there have been many
variations in the technique of Ikat, but X is counted
among the most exquisite and is considered as the
‘ultimate manifestation of weaving perfection’
because the displacement of even one thread can

provisions for inclusion of Government of India one
rupee note within the meaning of ‘Coin’
Hence according to the act One Rupee Note is a
'coin'. Also, in accordance with the RBI Act 1934, RBI
can not mint coins. One rupee note is signed by the
finance secretary of India and it does not have the
words " I promise to pay the bearer" since it is
already an asset as it is considered as a coin.
