My product/film
The product I have to create is a short film
that will be named 'ASYLUM'. I have chosen
this name as I have done research into the
horror/thriller genre and have decided to
create an asylum film as they can be
portrayed as a creepy and eerie place. For
this film I will be creating things like the poster
shown here and will be putting this on public
billboards and other public advertising
opportunities like busses and trains.

Purpose of
my film
The purpose of my film is to
create a unique horror
experience that is based on a
real-life place where paranormal
activity has been reported which
enhances the scariness of the
film, but the main purpose is to
entertain like any movie. I have
also included my mood board
again as I think it shows where I
got my inspiration from for
my film.

Brief summary
A brief summary of my movies
promotional campaign is that I
am going to create posters and
tv adverts about the film and
apply these through billboards
and advert opportunities at
places like theatres

Inspiration and content decisions
When making my poster I took my own pictures
of the chosen building where my movie will be
based off and will take place. I decided to add a
grey tone as it further adds and created a sinister
tone to the film and poster. I also added a
red/black font color as it looked like it had blood
over it and further enhances the sinister tone I
am going for. I also added a slogan/title which
said 'screams begin October 31st' which is a
unique way of announcing the release date
which is Halloween. I also think the mood board I
created helped a lot with choosing this as my film
as it captures a lot of needed aspects to create a
good horror film and the films, I chose for my
mood board all did great jobs of keeping people
entertained but on the edge of their seats as
well. As specified in the brief the target audience
is all genders who love a horror thriller movie

Although we will be using
things like billboards we will
also be running a social
media account to further
spread awareness of the
campaign and film
