Program
Established in 1967, LeadingAge Minnesota represents the interests of its members who
collaborate with senior care professionals, advocates, and consumers to enable senior adults to
continue living with dignity and purpose. Inspired by its mission, LeadingAge Minnesota offers the
Leadership Academy, a development program designed to nurture potential leaders who provide
housing and care for the state's aging population.

4. LeadingAge Minnesota Offers Leadership Academy
Program
The Leadership Academy is an eight-month program that provides a collaborative experience to
participants as they learn about leadership theory, emotional intelligence, problem-solving, and
self-reflection. In addition to the collaborative sessions, the program also offers mentorship and
individual action learning projects. Over 260 professionals have completed the program since it
was launched in 2010.
