5. History of the Rotary Spring Walk:
Started in 2002
5km, 10km, 15km fun walk held
at Modderfontein,
Johannesburg
Last year at Waterfall Estate.
Has raised over R 2.4 million for
various projects.
Averages over 2000 entries per
year.

raised by Rotary. This year we are looking for a new sponsor.
8. SANCA Rehabilitation Centre

This ambitious project cost about R500 000 in funds but with
donations, the completed centre is valued at over R750 000
9. Sefikeng Primary School upgrade
Situated in the grounds of Leeukop Prison: We
built a kitchen facility, a multi-purpose court, a
water-wise vegetable garden and an up-grade of
their library.

Nomzamo Crèche and day care centre is situated on the island of the busy London Rd, Alexandra Jouburg
The centre currently looking after 55 toddlers and kids age between 6 months to 4 years old.
It is merely a shack made of remaining of zinc sheets and plastic, it fence off by fragile and porous diamond mish. There is no solid protection to crèche for passing by heavy vehicle, it is open from all sides and plenty of dust and noise around the centre.
The crèche is run by Rose Cuba with her two assistance this who have no formal occupational training and in desperate need of professional training.
River Church foundation in partnership with Rizah and Rotary club of morningside is currently busy revamping the whole creche facility, Rizah have donated R250,000 for this project.
