• The following is examples of my work
from my time at VIAVI Solutions.
• I joined the EMEA Regional & Channel
Marketing team based in Edinburgh,
Scotland as Marketing Manager in
December 2018.
• My role focused on content creation,
social media management and
developing marketing campaigns as
part of the company’s Fiber Program.
About VIAVI
Solutions:
• VIAVI Solutions is the #1 global manufacturer
of telecoms test & measurement equipment &
solutions.
• They specialise in fiber, 5G and NPMD, as well
as 3D sensing and anti-counterfeiting pigment
materials for bank note authentication.
• VIAVI was formed as a division from JDSU in
2015 and has a history that goes back to 1923.
• VIAVI Solutions (NASDAQ: VIAV) has over 50
offices and 4,000 employees worldwide, with
an annual revenue of over $1 billion.

Campaigns
Example: Fiber Ninja Campaign
• I was an Integral part of the core team who
developed and launched the ‘Fiber Ninja’ campaign.
In early 2019, which continues to grow to this day.
• Target audience: UK / EMEA fiber technicians &
contractors, primarily on LinkedIn
• Purpose: increase brand awareness by creating a
character/mascot to resonate with target audience
& connect on an emotional level
• Elements: creative content, monthly community
award, website landing page, regular competitions
for user-generated content, free items/collateral
• Results: increased brand awareness, high social
media engagement, press coverage for awards,
increase in MQLs, and the campaign replicated in
other regions as part of a global VIAVI initiative

• Developed a ‘Tech Tips’ series for social
media – offering value to our community.
• Purpose: engage VIAVI users and
promote buyer preference
• Process: worked with Solutions
Engineers and Product Line Managers to
condense complex and technical info into
easy to consume digital content
• Promotion: branded across various
channels as #TechTuesday, #FiberFriday
#TechTips, etc., they have also been
translated to other languages and
amplified by our channel partners.

• Produced a regular cadence of seasonal & topical
social media content to engage the wide range of
target audiences VIAVI has online
• Examples: brand history, sports competitions,
holidays, April Fool’s Day, popular culture

Selling Initiative
• Part of the social selling team, an internal initiative featuring
personnel from the Sales Enablement, Regional & Channel Marketing,
and Public Relations departments
• I worked with the team to produce various social selling focused
webinars and was the project lead/host of ‘Social Selling for VIAVI
Sales & Channel Partners’ and ‘Paid Social for VIAVI Channel Partners’
• I also presented training sessions at two regional conferences:
• ‘The Power of Social Media’ to partners at the EMEA Channel
Partner Training event in Budapest, Hungary (April 2019)
• ‘How to Use Social Media to Increase Sales’ at the EMEA
Regional Sales & Marketing Conference in Lisbon, Portugal
(October 2019)

• Drove an initiative to increase the amount of product photography used by the company,
as stock photos/graphical mock-ups were not seeing high engagement.
• On occasion I have also represented the company as event photographer for tradeshows,
networking events and award shows.
