I am pleased to recommend Ross Chacon for the Drilling Fluids Consultant position at AIP Inc. While in
the position of Sr. Technical Engineer at SECURE Energy Services (formerly Marquis Alliance), I worked
closely with Ross while he was a Drilling Fluids Specialist during October, 2010, - January, 2011. After
which, while in the position of Sr. Technical Engineer & US Operations Supervisor at SECURE Energy
Services, I continued to work closely with Ross while he was a Technical Engineer during January, 2011, -
October, 2015.
While working as a Drilling Fluids Specialist in the field, Ross performed all tasks assigned to him in an
exemplary manner. He displayed that he had a strong grasp of knowledge with both WBM & OBM and
confidently gave recommendations based on his analysis. He would ensure that the drilling fluid was
maintained per the recommended program; and, he was never reserved to ask questions or to share his
thoughts if an issue occurred with the well. Daily reports and end of well paperwork were completed in
their entirety and submitted on time to both on-site operator representative and office. By always
putting his best foot forward and conducting his job in a professional manner, enabled Ross to swiftly
develop a strong rapports with all on-site personnel.
Ross’ qualities continued to excel when he transitioned to the role of Technical Engineer at SECURE
Energy Services. He excelled in analyzing formations and developing best fit mud system for optimal
performance. He also reviewed daily mud reports and kept daily contact with field engineers. Ross’
strong organizational skills, fine attention to detail, and years of experience in the field, benefited the
company greatly by ensuring the client was receiving the best in-class service.
