machine needs to be operated by a human

The hubble space telescope
●   Launch date April the 24th 1990.
●   Mission duration up to 20 years.
●   Servicing mission 1 1993.
●   Servicing mission 2 1997.
●   Servicing mission 3a 1999.
●   Servicing mission 3b 2002.
●   Servicing mission 4 2009.
●   Length 13.2 meters.
●   Weight 11,110 kg.
●   Diameter 4.2 meters.
●   Energy source The sun.
●   power usage 2,800 watts.

Mars rovers
there are 3 of them.

The first two of them were spirit and
opportunity they landed on january the 25th
and january 4 both in 2004.

In 2006 spirit got stuck in some mud nasa tried
everything they could but it is still stuck.

The last rover is curiosity it was launched this
year.
Conclusion
in conclusion we wouldn't know
anything about space with out robots.
