Education is the essential factor for employment.
ASEAN required education systems to integrate programs to provide individuals with requisite
skills for the changing labor market. Because of this trend, Outcome Based Education was
implemented.
The Philippines responded with to this demand with RA 10533 – The Enhanced Basic
Education Act of 2013 – which aims to broaden the goals of high school education for college
preparation, vocational and technical opportunities as well as creative arts, sports and
entrepreneurial employment in a rapidly changing and increasingly globalized environment.

2. Improved Transport
3. Free Trade Agreements
4. Global Banking
Effects of Globalization
1. Changed Food Supply
2. Division of Labor
3. Less Job Security
4. Damage to the Environment
5. Cultural Impact
Cooperation and Collaboration Among Nations
Cooperation among countries can help solve joint problems, and share knowledge and best
practices
It often emerges around 3 common vectors:
common challenges that extend beyond national borders;
political, cultural, religious and economic commonalities that foster
integration;
inter-country engagement in regional and/or global processes.
5
10. iii
Nowadays, many countries experience similar health challenges and concerns.
Cooperation among countries can be an effective tool to strengthen, share and accelerate health
development within countries and across regions. It involves creating, adapting, transferring
and sharing knowledge and experiences to improve health – while also making the most of
existing resources and capacities.
https://www.who.int/country-cooperation/what-who-does/inter-country/en/
Collaboration
Collaboration is when a group of people come together and contribute their expertise for the
benefit of a shared objective, project, or mission.
Reasons why collaboration is important
1. It helps us problem-solve
2. Collaboration brings people (and organizations) closer together
3. Collaboration helps people learn from each other
4. It opens up new channels for communication
5. Collaboration boosts morale across your organization
6. It leads to higher retention rates
7. Collaboration makes us more efficient workers
All countries are facing global challenges that we must meet together. That does
not mean that we neglect the local issues. It is true that we can’t go on sending goods
and semi-finished products around the globe. On the contrary, we have to develop
economies based on local assets. The economy of the future will be a recycling economy:
waste will be the raw material. The slogan ‘think globally, act locally’ is still fully
valid.
However, international transport will remain indispensable, not least because it is
impossible to concentrate production in one location. This international trade must be
fair and environmentally friendly. And an open economy still produces the largest
number of jobs.
