Abstract of the Raksha startup

1. The main aimof the “Raksha” startupisto form a networkof hospitalsandprovide timelyresponse to
victimsduringmedical emergencieswithasingle tapona mobile application. Whenthe ‘’Emergency”
buttonispressedbythe user,the hospitals, registeredwithus,inthe nearbyradiusare notifiedabout
the locationof the patient/victim. The driversof private ambulanceservicesinthe same radiusare also
notifiedaboutthe location.
The hospitals/drivers,aftergettingnotifiedthroughaweb portal,canchoose to accept the requestof
assigninganambulance,if driversare available.Inthe case of non-acceptance,the radiusof areato find
hospitalsisincreasedandthe correspondinghospitalsare notified.The driversare givencontactdetai ls
of the userand the shortestroute to the location.
Users are requestedtoprovide medical historyandongoingmedicationdetailsof themandtheirfamily
memberssothat theycan be sentto the respective hospital forbetterunderstandingof the case. When
the applicationisused,usersare askedforwhomthe service isbeingrequestedfor.The victimscan
eitherbe the usersthemselves,familymembersorstrangers.The above provideddetailscome inhandy
whenthe victimisa registereduserora familymemberof the user.Userscan provide details
emergencycontactstobe notified.
BloodbanksregisteredwithRakshawhichare withinthe radiusof searchare notifiedincase of
requirement.Asan additional feature,if usersare capable totransport the patienttothe hospital on
theirown,the nearbyhospitals,withtheirlocationanddirectionsfromthe user’slocationare displayed.
Rakshaaims to tie upwiththe governmenttoinclude the servicesof governmenthospitalsand108
ambulance servicesas afuture enhancement.
