Dr. Schwartz is internationally known for her program of research,
which focuses on exercise interventions to reduce the physical and
emotional eects of cancer and treatment. Her book, Cancer tness:
Exercise programs for patients survivors, published by Simon
Schuster, brings the science of cancer and exercise to patients,
survivors, and their families. Schwartz has received research funding
from the National Institutes of Nursing Research (NINR), National
Cancer Institute (NCI), Oncology Nursing Foundation, Department
of Defense Breast Cancer Research Initiative, and the industry.
Schwartz has been recognized for her work, with numerous awards
from such organizations as the American Cancer Society, the
Oncology Nursing Society, and the International Research Promotion
Council. Dr. Schwartz and Mr. Campbell were named as Subject Matter
Experts’ by the American College of Sports Medicine and serve on the
certifcation board of review. www.rehabsys.com.
Mr. Campbell started his career in 1985 as an Army Master Fitness
Trainer, where he physically prepared troops for combat readiness.
Campbell obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science
from Utah State University, followed by a Master of Science Degree
from the University of Utah, in Clinical Exercise Physiology. Campbell's
greatest passion however, is working for the functional restoration
and independence of medically complex patients. While serving the
University of Utah's Lung Transplant program, Campbell realized that
greater measures could be implemented to improve functional abilities
of lung and cancer patients, and has set his focus on their rehabilitation
pathway. www.rehabsys.com
What Health Care professionals are saying
about Rehabilitation Systems implementation courses:
I started my program 2 days after completing the workshop and it
really was turnkey. All the forms, billing codes and materials were
right there. Instructors have an outstanding knowledge of content
and real world examples. Instructor was incredibly knowledgeable,
clear and easy to ask questions of. Not only was this easy to start in
my practice, my income has shot up! Implementing the program in
my practice was incredibly easy and lucrative. Thanks! Great examples
and organized presentation. Materials set me up to start right away.
I feel condent and knowledgeable. I loved the instant and practical
application of the workshop. Will start next week. Not too high tech
but, just enogh to keep the group on track. Numerous ties to hands
on experience. It helped to actually go through applications,
protocols, and case studies so I felt comfortable and competent
with my rst real patient in the program.
