the types of surve MJM surveying is equipped to assist
with any survey you require whether it is in an urban, rural
or construction setting. Below are just a few of yes we can
assist you with.
4. CONSTRUCTION SURVEY
A critical role in any type of construction is
construction surveying, which can include
many differing details requiring a multitude of
skills and specialised tools to determine what
factors will be involved both prior and during
the construction of your project.
Whether you’re building a civil infrastructure
such as buildings, airports, roads, bridges or
highways construction surveying will need to
be done in order for the project to proceed as
any element within the construction area and
surrounding it must be taken into consideration
relative to the future build. Construction
surveying is contributing to shaping the world
we live in, one infrastructure project at a time.
5. TOPOGRAPHICAL DETAIL SURVEY
Topographical detail surveys are also known as
Contour and Feature surveys provide an
accurate depiction of manufactured and natural
features that would be required when planning
a new development or renovating an existing
building or site. These surveys are completed
for assessment and design purposes typically
required for a Development Application through
Council.
Using our expertise and experience in the
industry, it is evaluated how much information is
required for each survey so that unnecessary
costs are not incurred. These surveys provide
important information such as the levels of the
land, locations of features such as rock cliffs or
ledges, adjoining buildings, trees with extent of
canopies, overhead wires and drainage.
6. SUBDIVISION SURVEY
Subdivision being the process where the land is
separated into individual titles for land parcels,
units, shops, apartments and commercial and
industrial buildings. This allows them to be sold
as separate sales, and as a requirement from
Councils these subdivisions require planning
permits which in turn requires a surveyor to
certify these plans for these permits.
These surveys will determine the existing
boundaries and will then be used to mark new
boundaries for the future development, and the
survey will need to be deemed compliant
before commencing any further works. It is
important to engage professional and
experienced surveyors for conducting your
subdivision survey, as there can be lengthy
delays if these aren’t correct or are missing
something.
7. BOUNDARY SURVEY
Boundary surveying is exactly that, the marking of
property boundaries, whatever the purpose may be,
which is needed to be carried out by a licensed
Surveyor. The boundary survey is able to determine
the property extremities, will identify the exact
location of lines for the property to a very minute
margin of error. It will provide details such as location
of fencing, boundary occupations, information
relating to easements, restrictions on the land,
encroachments and other things that may affect
your plans for the land.
Boundary surveys are commonly required when
renovations or improvements are wanting to be
done on the land, and by carrying these out it will
provide you with information relating to what affects,
burdens or benefits the parcel of land. It’s required
before proceeding with creating plans for the
planned works as it will give clear indication how and
where the configuration of the works can be
situated.
