5. Concrete Scanning
SEP have a strong track record of constant investment in the latest technology available in
the marketplace that best fits our clients needs. It is because of this, that we now use the
latest Hilti PS 250 Ferroscan and Hilti PS 1000 X-Scan tools to provide our Concrete
Evaluation service.
It is, by utilization of this technology, that we are able to offer a quick, non destructive, and
non disruptive Concrete Evaluation Service to our clients.
The tools we use are a compact all-in-one hand-held design which offer easy, user-friendly
operation, meaning that we can work in occupied premises or awkward to reach areas.
We can provide a real-time view of the inside of concrete structures and generate true
images automatically, capturing data that can be evaluated on site by the user, enabling the
identification of any defects in a very timely manner.
There are many varied applications for this service we offer such as

8. Using laser scanning, SEP offer an alternative to traditional survey techniques. It consists of
automated high speed data capture of complex surfaces and often inaccessible
environments. There are many possible outputs available from point-clouds and basic
measurements through to ortho-images, derived 2D/3D drawings, meshing/surfacing or
solid modelling.
Industries and users who traditionally work with two-dimensional plans and schematic
diagrams are increasingly discovering the advantages of three-dimensional planning and
documentation tools. At SEP we have recognised the need for laser scanning in today’s
surveying environment.
Whether it is architecture,
industrial, petrochemical, plant
construction, reverse engineering,
quality control or historical
preservation and forensics - 3D
documentation by means of laser
scanners offers significant
advantages compared with any
conventional measuring method.
This is because a laser scanner
records approximately one million
measuring points per second and
produces a precise, three-
dimensional image of its
surroundings. With suitable plug-
ins, this image can be directly imported into a wide range of software applications.

10. CCTV Surveys
SEP are specialists in drainage
surveying and are able to meet the
various and sometimes diverse needs of
high end drainage surveys. We offer
bespoke surveys that are both practical
and user friendly to a wide range of
clients such as consulting engineers,
design consultants, FM companies,
construction companies and Highways Agencies.
We tailor our surveys to meet the needs and specification of each individual project and
understand how to achieve the most efficient survey to maximise the level of data captured.
Following years of experience, we understand that not every drainage survey is carried out
to capture the same information. In the past, generic surveys have been carried out which
means that sometimes the vital data, that the end user requires, is missing. We realise
that each project is specific and the information and classification of surveys need to
change in order to meet the customer’s needs and overall plan.
As well as detailed drainage surveys we also offer the complete solution to any of your
drainage needs meaning that we are a one stop shop for any drainage problem that might
occur.
We also offer the following additional
services:
Drainage Cleaning
CCTV Surveys
Site Cleansing
Blockage removal
Maintenance service plans
Root removal
ISO14001 management plans
High Pressure Water Jetting
Pre and Post Adoption surveys
“No DIG” Polymer Resin Re- Lining
Drainage Mapping and Tracing

11. Underground Utility Surveys
An underground utility survey is the location and position of conductive and non conductive
services using ground penetrating radar and electromagnetic instruments.
Using highly experienced teams of surveyors, with diverse technical backgrounds and
industry experience, we can provide our clients with complete underground surveying
knowledge. We can provide a prompt, efficient and consistently competitive service which is
tailored to your needs.
SEP have extended the utility service of the business to accommodate the needs of our
clients and has branched out into deep ground penetration surveys. These are conducted
with an HDR low frequency GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) antenna (200MHz) to
complement our easy locators (500MHz). The deep radar surveys will support our
surveyor’s investigations in locating geological faults, mineshafts, voids and deep utility
services.
SEP feels it can play a major part in any underground utility surveying, whether it is a
footpath or a carriageway, a single cable or a multitude of cables, we provide all spectrums
of underground surveys, from a simple mark out to a full mapping and drainage survey.
We specialise in the following practices:
Underground utility detection and mapping surveys
Electronic trail holes surveys
Borehole clearance surveys
Drainage connectivity surveys
CCTV drainage condition surveys

SURVEY AND ENGINEERING PROJECTS
12. A dilapidation survey is an important part of many site works. The purpose of SEP’s
dilapidation survey is to provide an in-depth record of any damage to the site prior to works
commencing. The condition of street furniture, kerb and channel, roadways, pavements,
and utilities are usually included in the survey record. Other dilapidation surveys can
incorporate the internal condition of a building to a daily site aerial photographic record
taken by our remote control drone.
Unfortunately, in an ever increasing claim for blame society, contractors are often held
responsible for damage to third party properties, which may well have been caused years
before the contractors even got to site. With SEP’s dilapidation survey report on file, these
claims can easily be rebuffed with a minimal amount of stress. An in-depth dilapidation
survey is vital to protect a contractor’s reputation, financial position and insurance claims
history, and could even be dovetailed into an insurance policy.
SEP can deliver a snapshot of time with aerial and photographic records, full colour 3D
laser scan, a videoed site walkover and drawings showing photograph positions along with
any damage. The information can be referred back to at the end of the project should there
be any cost disputes regarding damage caused by construction works.
Whether the site is a private dwelling or a large multi-million pound infrastructure project,
can you afford not to carry out a dilapidation survey?

13. SEP are dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of the natural environment,
wildlife and landscape of the British Isles, whilst understanding and progressing the
business and development opportunities of its clients.
Planning applications often run into difficulties when there are potential environmental
problems, especially with the constant changes to environmental and ecological legislation.
When protected species are involved, it is even more important for all partners involved in
the scheme to show not only that they are willing to mitigate and compensate for any loss
of biodiversity, but they are in a position to actually improve the ecology of the area to the
satisfaction of Natural England and Local Authorities.
SEP are here to assist developers, surveyors and architects who may find themselves with
environmental issues. By carrying out on-site ecological surveys, desktop studies and
working closely with our clients and the appropriate local authorities, we can improve the
local environment whilst achieving our client’s objectives.
