Since my great-great-great grandfather, the second Earl of
Burlington (later the 7th Duke of Devonshire) laid the foundations
in 1843 of what has today become Burlington Stone, his
descendants have all been actively involved in promoting the
beautiful stone that occurs naturally in the fells near our family
home, Holker Hall in Cumbria. It will be my privilege to maintain
and build on this journey.
My vision is a blend of the traditions that my family have upheld for
more than a century and a half together with a clear plan to create
a sustainable business that will serve future generations as well as
the wider community. This will come through investment in new
technology and skills and will lead to the kind of dynamic business
that can react and adapt to ever-changing economic conditions.
Whether residential or commercial; whether traditional or
contemporary, the versatility of Burlington’s range of natural stone
products and the inherited values that pervade Burlington Stone’s
approach to business make it possible to bring unique style and
distinction to any development.
Interior designers, architects, developers and discerning
home-owners throughout the world continue to be inspired by
the intrinsic aesthetic and technical properties of Burlington’s
natural stone. Therefore at the heart of all the policies that are
developedundermystewardship,willbeasingle-mindedapproach
to preserving the hard-won standards of exceptional British
craftsmanship and commitment to customer service.

Offering a range of stunning antique tiles within our Heritage Range, Burlington Stone have crafted

of 3 colours with an antiqued finish, and like the Burlington Stone Select Range, the range of heritage
tiles come in the most popular and practical of sizes, with the same aesthetic beauty and same superior
technical qualities, all falling within a defined range sample.
Offering the same quality of craftsmanship
as the Burlington Bespoke proposition, the
“Select” range from Burlington Stone allows
for pre-determined sizes and finishes within a
defined range of colour and shade, that can
to be selected for projects requiring shorter
leadtimes and a cost effective solution. With a
range of 4 different colours and shades with a
honed finish in the most popular and practical
of sizes, the same aesthetic beauty and same
superior technical qualities can be offered, all
falling within a defined range sample.
A large number of the projects within this
brochure are from our Bespoke Range, but our
Select Range can provide a quicker solution for
projects where a pre determined size and range
sample is acceptable.
Below is an example of a range sample of Broughton Moor

  • 4. Since my great-great-great grandfather, the second Earl of Burlington (later the 7th Duke of Devonshire) laid the foundations in 1843 of what has today become Burlington Stone, his descendants have all been actively involved in promoting the beautiful stone that occurs naturally in the fells near our family home, Holker Hall in Cumbria. It will be my privilege to maintain and build on this journey. My vision is a blend of the traditions that my family have upheld for more than a century and a half together with a clear plan to create a sustainable business that will serve future generations as well as the wider community. This will come through investment in new technology and skills and will lead to the kind of dynamic business that can react and adapt to ever-changing economic conditions. Whether residential or commercial; whether traditional or contemporary, the versatility of Burlington’s range of natural stone products and the inherited values that pervade Burlington Stone’s approach to business make it possible to bring unique style and distinction to any development. Interior designers, architects, developers and discerning home-owners throughout the world continue to be inspired by the intrinsic aesthetic and technical properties of Burlington’s natural stone. Therefore at the heart of all the policies that are developedundermystewardship,willbeasingle-mindedapproach to preserving the hard-won standards of exceptional British craftsmanship and commitment to customer service.
