2. About Mizo Winery Industry
• Mizo Winery Industry was established in 2007.
• It is the first and only large scale winery in the state of Mizoram.
• The production unit was started in 2010.
• It was registered under the Mizoram Firms and Society
registered Act 2005.
• The Society has Governing Body consisting 15 members, 6
member being elected office bearers.

3. Types of Product
• Zawlaidi : Zawlaidi is a portwine(Red wine). Zawlaidi
comes in 750 Ml bottle.
• Zowine : The Society’s second product called “Zowine”
came into production during the year 2011-2012.
• Zowine comes in a bottle
of 650 Ml

• People: The customers of these wines are mostly from the age
of 18-30
• Price : Zawlaidi 105, Zowine 95
• Place: The products from these wines are sold within the state
of Mizoram
• Product : Zawlaidi & Zowine
• Promotion: Advertisements are done through Newspapers,
local television channels and Internet. Social Media .The
Winery also sponsors TV shows to promote its products,
sponsors local artists and held Grape Festivals to excite their
customers.

6. Suggestion & Conclusion
• The Mizo Winery Industry is a very young company, they need to
invest more in advertisement
• The market product has been decreased due to the health issue &.
Mizoram Liquor Prohibition & Control Act.(MLPC Act) – They need
to solve the problems regarding the health issue
• The Government legalized the selling of alcohol beverages, this
create a whole new sector of marketing, but they need to improve
the taste of the product
• The company is planning to sale their fresh juice to Radiant
manufacture private ltd Guwahati, that will make more development
for the industry.
