2. Rules
• This round will consist of 6 questions
• Infinite pounce and bounce
• Each question will have two parts. Part 1 (X) will fetch
you 5 points for a correct answer.
• Y is present just to make things more confusing for you.
Answering Y will fetch no marks.
• Part 2 (A, B, C and so on) will also fetch you 5 points for
a correct answer.
• However, the answers A, B, C, D, E, F of the 6 questions,
all relate something bigger. We want you to find the
connection.
3. • You can guess the answer of the larger
connect after any of the 6 questions.
• If you guess the answer of the first connect
after question 1, you get +50/-25. after
question 2, +40/-20, after question 3, +30/-15,
After question 4, +20/-10, after question 5,
+10/-5 and after question 6, +5/0.
• You can guess the answer for the major
connect only once
4. Question 1
• X is a bird. A X was unleashed in 1269 by
Barberus Bragge during a Quidditch match, who
offered a hefty sum of money for its capture. X
began to be used in Quidditch matches, but was
soon replaced by Y as its species was dying out.
Bowman Wright created Y to exactly mimic X.
• A was hidden in an Y (by Albus Dumbledore).
• Identify A and X(Answering Y fetches no marks)

7. Question 2
• Y claimed to have descended from Helga
Hufflepuff. Y was extremely rich, and thus an avid
collector of magic antiquities. She was killed, and
her house elf X was blamed. The house elf
claimed to have accidentally put poison in Y’s
evening cocoa, but unfortunately false memories
had been implanted in the house elf’s mind.
• Two things had gone missing from Y’s collection
of artifacts after her death, B and another object
belonging to Y’s supposed ancestor.
• Identify X and B (Answering Y fetches no marks)
10. Question 3
• Y is known to deflect all charms, and can be repaired
with the spell X, as a simple mending charm will not
work on it. Y was damaged by Peeves when he
dropped it in a classroom right above Filch’s office after
being persuaded by Nearly Headless Nick, so as to help
Harry get out of trouble. A certain Slytherin Quidditch
captain is said to have almost died after being shoved
into Y.
• Y can be found outside Hogwarts in C
• Identify X and C (Answering Y fetches no marks, again)
13. Question 4
• Although much of Y’s products were meant for
fun and games, after the Ministry of Magic
decided to order X from them, for their staff
protection, they decided to extend their products
into a more serious line.
• Y had all their products banned from Hogwarts,
however they began to sell D to the students by
owl order, which were disguised as cough
potions.
• Identify X and D (NO points for Y)
16. Question 5
• "His name's Y. His mother beats him. She beats all
those kids she adopted, but she seems to hate
him the most.“
• It was very strange that Y had managed to reach
adulthood, as he was a X, and most of them die
by the age of 10. Y probably became a X because
of the years of abuse he endured in his
childhood.
• Gellert Grindelwald thought Y was a E when he
first met him, before he realized Y was actually a
X.
• Identify X and E
19. Question 6
• Y was sent by Albus Dumbledore to the Giant colonies
in Minsk, to get them over to Dumbledore’s side. Y
eventually won over the leader of their tribe, Karkus.
• However, the Death Eaters, who had been sent on the
same mission, engineered an uprising led by the giant
X, who beheaded Karkus and took his position.
• Y had a pet Acromantula Aragog, who F found out
about, and turned Y in. As a result, Y was expelled from
Hogwarts.

25. Merope Gaunt
Resurrection Stone- Set in Marvolo’s ring, which is a Gaunt family
heirloom, obviously the family to which Merope belongs to
Salazar Slytherin’s Locket- Another Gaunt Family heirloom, one
which Merope steals
Borgin and Burkes- Merope sold Slytherin’s locket to this place
(or rather the owner) for 10 Galleons
Love Potion- Merope used a love potion to make Tom Riddle Snr
fall in love with him (Atleast according to Albus Dumbledore)
Squib- Even though Merope Gaunt proved herself capable of
magic, she was derogatorily called a Squib constantly by her
father
Voldemort- Her Son
