Human relation is something that takes place between man
and his boss. Between one worker to another between supervisor
and manager & workers. It take place between two are more groups
also.

“Human relation is development of productive & satisfying
group effort”.
2. HOW HUMAN RELATION CAN BE IMPROVED
• Giving due respect to human dignity.
• Convincing the workers about the importance of his job.
• Creating confidence in workers .
• Good working condition in workers.
• Given security of the job.
• Giving credit where ever due.
• Selecting better supervisors.
• Training supervisors in human relation.
3. FOUNDATION FOR GOOD RELATION
• Let each person know how he is doing his job.
• Decide what you expect of him.
• Point out ways to improve.
• Give credit when due.
• Look for extra or unusual performance.
• Tell him about his performance as soon as possible.
• Tell people in advance about the changes that will effect him.
• Make best use of each person’s ability.
• Ensure that changes are accepted by them.
• Never stand in a man’s way.
• People must be treated as individuals.
4. RESULTS OF POOR HUMAN RELATIONSHIP
Unhappy human relation cause the following results:
– Reduction of productivity.
– Frequent turnover of personnel.
– Deterioration discipline.
– Labour unrest.
– Absenteeism, disease.
– Exhaustion and substandard work.
– Accident and mistakes.
– Enimity.
5. DEALING WITH EMPLOYEES
• Inform workers about company policies.
• Discipline (sense of discipline).
• Motivate.
• Try to get good result in punctuality, temperament, neatness and
efficiency.
• Consult employees and encourage to make suggestions.
• Ensure adherence of rules, policies, instructions and std of
good conducts.
• Reprimand.
• Evaluate the jobs and keeps records of merit - rating.
• Recommend transfer, promotion or demotion.
• Delegates part of his authority and work.
• Develop a good communication system, system of instructions
and orders both upward and downward.
6. DEALING WITH UNIONS
• Acts as mediators of employers need.
• Negotiates at the grievances level for his employees with
management.
• Negotiates with union representative on behalf of management
for harmony and co-operation.
7. EXEPTIONAL QLTY ON THE PART OF MANAGER
• Have through knowledge of his personnel.
• Carry out selection and replacement of his
personnel.
• Set a good examples.
• Conduct periodic audit of organization.
• Bring together by means of conferences.
• Guide and supervise subordinate.
8. ASSOCIATES
• Co-operate in making org policies a success.
• Co-ordinate work with other sections,
• Tries to understand the problems of colleagues.
• Accept their right suggestions and criticisms.
• Depends or justifies his section position and action.
• Instruct specialists or technical pers working under him to help
other sections.
• Utilises the services of specialists work.
• Permits and encourages inter change of good workers through
transfer promotion.
• Keeps alert to information which associates may be concerning his
work & passes on similar information to associates.
• Learn from other sections.

• Supervisor should try & adjust according to the advice of
superiors.
