For industry and research organisations in the BioTec and MedTec sectors in the
Fehmarnbelt-Öresung region (Hamburg, Lübeck, Copenhagen, Malmö, Lund) – and beyond.
Why should I attend the Partnering Mission?
You are working in southern Scandinavia, and are looking for partners in Germany, or into
the large German health market? Take a thorough look at Lübeck – the first life science
stronghold south of the Danish border!
You are working in northern Germany, and are looking for Scandinavian innovation partners,
or entry into the innovation-affine northern markets? Find the right matches during the
Lübeck Partnering Mission!
We cordially invite you to join us in this year‘s BioTec & MedTec Partnering Mission.
This networking and match-making event consists of two parts:
1. Visit to the Lübeck BioMedTec Science Campus, and in particular the brand new
Centre for Brain, Behavior and Metabolism (CBBM) research building.
2. Match-making: Present your organization in a pitch presentation (no slides!) with roll-
up, or poster. You will meet one-on-one with partners matching your business needs.

– a life science cluster with supra-regional effects.
CBBM – Center for Brain, Behavior and Metabolism
Inaugurated in February 2016, the CBBM is a unique
interdisciplinary institution at the University of Lübeck. It
promotes research in the area of mutual interactions
among the brain, behavior and metabolism, as well as its
applications in experimental and clinical medicine. CBBM
core facilities include brain imaging, a metabolic core unit
(MCU), and a bioanalytics unit, side by side with sleeping
labs. 300 scientists and doctorate students from 18
countries will cooperate across disciplines in the new
building. Medical doctors, biologists, psychologists,
nutritionists, pharmacologists and physicists in 33 working
groups will, for example, investigate relations between
sleep, metabolism, eating behavior, and overweight.
We invite you to an ice-breaking barbecue on Tuesday, May 24
(evening before the partnering mission). Participation in the Partnering
Mission and barbecue is free of charge.
