BUSINESS CONTINUITY AND DISASTER RECOVERY MANAGER – GOLD COAST CITY (AUG 2014)
I managed the strategic disaster recovery project for GCC, including all disaster recovery and business
continuity processes across the organisation. I developed, and tested plans for relocating core Businesses in
the event of a major disaster. .
I was part of the Gold Coast Council Crisis Management Team and provided periodical updates to the Execs
/ Mayor’s Office. I collaborated with local government agencies to ensure proper compliance and services in
the event of a disaster. I conducted awareness presentations to business units, major process owners and
business partners.
BUSINESS CONTINUITY AND DISASTER RECOVERY MANAGER – BENDIGO AND ADELAIDE BANK
(2012 – 2013)
I developed, tested and implemented business continuity and disaster recovery plans, managing major
projects to build recovery capability of core banking processes with the Crisis Management Team, and
established policies to address organisational risks. I worked with Business/IT teams to establish plans and
facilitating annual crisis management exercises and liaised with the RBA and APRA service providers for
provisioning of ITSCM services. I conducted awareness presentations and dealt with all major audit issues.
I tested and documented BCP policies and procedures to ensure Reserve Bank compliance and
implemented/tested complex Basel 2 processes for major disasters potentially impacting organisation and
trained staff accordingly.
BUSINESS CONTINUITY AND DISASTER RECOVERY MANAGER – KIWIBANK, NZ (2009 – 2012)
I developed, tested and implemented business continuity and disaster recovery management plans,
including managing Programme Bella, relocating major Kiwibank processes from Wellington to Auckland.
Systems including Ultrack, TMS, ATM, middleware, treasury and other complex banking and financial
applications.
I managed the Crisis Management Team during events such as Christchurch earthquake’s that, significantly
impacted staff and business processes, and documenting major review for presenting to Board. I established
relevant policies addressing organisational risks and worked with Business and IT teams to establish IT DR
and BCP plans, and facilitated annual crisis management exercises. I liaised between Reserve Bank of New
Zealand and national/global service providers to provide ITSCM services based on (BS–1 and BS-11
standards).
I conducted awareness presentations and presented major audit issues (internal and KPMG) to Board Audit
Compliance Committee, implementing cost saving strategies around major applications and processes. I
established and tested DR/BCP recovery from the Wellington production to Auckland BCP site, and provided
updates to the executive team and Bella SC Steering committee.
I was awarded for managing the impact to Kiwibank due to Christchurch Earthquake.
PROJECT/BUSINESS CONTINUITY MANAGER – BANK NATIONALE PARIBAS (BNP) IS/SVC
MANAGEMENT, AUSTRALIA (2008 – 2009)
I developed, tested and implemented BCP plans for critical business systems such as Hiportfolio, pControl,
Trade flow, Bloomberg, PeopleSoft, SAP and other banking/financial applications, including creating
DR/BCP policies, plans, processes and crisis management exercises.
I provided consultancy and strategic direction to all business within the organisation, and liaised between the
Bank and service providers (national and global) for provisioning of ITSCM services. I worked with the BCM
Manager to ensure compliance of critical application recovery, and identified risks and exposures and
presenting gap analysis and findings to management/ internal audit. I tested annual BCP processes to
ensure APRA compliance. I project managed, embedded and tested complex processes for all Tier 1 and 2
systems, for BNP Paribas Australia and BNP European sites, at whilst implementing cost-effective DR/BCP
strategies for major applications and processes.
I received a Recognition Award for Project Managing and Implementing DR/BCP processes for BNP Paribas
SENIOR ITSCM AND BCP MANAGER (IT SERVICES) – AXA, AUSTRALIA AND NZ (2005 – 2008)
I led a successful team in providing business continuity management processes and training, and tested
strategic BC/DR plans to interface with relevant stakeholders. I developed and tested BCP plans for major
BCP Sites located within Australia, New Zealand, USA and Asia, liaising with national and European service
providers for provisioning of ITSCM services. I established procedures and strategies Tier 1 and 2 systems

billing and Telco systems. I conducted Business Impact Analysis for services, applications and recovery
timeframes and followed up on audit findings assigned to ITS groups. I conducted research and analysis of
global industry processes and applied new methodologies. I identified risks and exposures and presented
findings to management and internal audit, and provided presentations and awareness programs.
I conducted six-monthly testing for critical products, applications and platforms, and updated management. I
facilitated random BCP practice scenarios involving IT recovery, crisis management and executive. I
established policies .and processes for Tier 1 and 2 applications and a established disaster recovery kit on
the Optus Intranet site. I developed and tested *CASS, Arbor, CRM, SAP, PeopleSoft, FOCUS, XAACT
(military satellite process) and other Oracle based applications. I was also part of the project team for
consolidating three Production Data Centres, saving around $3 million per annum.

SENIOR DRP ANALYST / CONSULTANT COLES MYER LTD – INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY,
MELBOURNE AUSTRALIA (1996 – 2002)
I worked with Risk Management and Internal Audit to provide DRP/BCP processes and managed a team to
develop and test recovery plans for infrastructure services (platforms and application) within CM. I also
reviewed strategies for critical processes and identified unacceptable risks/exposures. I conducted an Impact
Analysis to determine business services, applications, recovery timeframe priorities, and undertook research
and analysis of global DRP industry processes and applying new methodologies. I also provided
presentations and awareness programs and facilitated DRP practice scenario involving IT recovery teams

of critical IBM -Mainframe and UNIX Systems /applications, reducing costs of around $1 million per annum,

around $300,000.
I was awarded for implementing and testing DR processes for major distribution centres and warehouses
within Coles Myer Ltd – familiar with DALLAS, Equinox and MARC systems, and for implementing/testing
end-to-end DRP processes for Liquorland and Coles Supermarkets (cost-savings of $1.2 million annually)
