Abraham, Sarah, and Isaac

2. Abraham was 100 and his wife Sarah was
90 when God fulfilled His promise to
them

3. God promised to Abraham that his wife
Sarah will bear a child

4. They named their son
Isaac

5. When Isaac grew into a young boy, he
was taught by his father to love and
obey God in any form of situation

6. One day, God spoke to Abraham

7. “I want you to take your son Isaac,
your only son that you love so much
and go to a mountain in the region of
Moriah and sacrifice him” God said

8. The next day, Abraham settled his
donkey then took Isaac and two of
his young co-workers and then
begin their journey to the region
of Moriah

9. They have travelled 3 days when
Abraham saw a mountain in a distance,
he left the 2 men and said to them that
he and Isaac will go to the mountain to
worship

10. As they were walking to the
mountain, Isaac was confused why
they have the things for worship but
not the lamb that they supposed to
offer

11. As they reached the top of the
mountain, Abraham tied up Isaac’s
arms then he took the knife and
prepared to kill his son

12. Suddenly Abraham heard an angel of
the Lord called him out from heaven

13. Abraham! Abraham!

14. “Do not lay a hand upon the son that
you love so much, do not do anything
to him. Now I know that you fear
God and you will obey all that you
will not withhold your only son that
you love” said the angel

15. Abraham looked up and saw a ram
caught by its horn in the bushes. So he
took the ram and sacrificed it in place
of his son

16. “Abraham, as for you keep my
covenant, you and your descendants
after you for the generations to come. I
would multiply your descendants as the
stars in the sky

17. Abraham became known as
“The Father of All Nations”

18. “We cannot rely on God’s promises without
obeying His commandments”
