Learning Disability
• Learning Disability is a disorder that affects
people's ability to either interpret what they
see and hear or to link information from
different parts of the brain.
• These limitations can show up in many ways-
as specific difficulties with spoken and written
language, coordination, self-control, or
attention.
• Such difficulties extend to schoolwork and can
impede learning to read or write, or to do
math.
• Learning disabilities can be lifelong conditions
that, in some cases, affect many parts of a
person's life: school or work, daily routines,
family life, and sometimes even friendships
and play.
Dyspraxia
• A disorder that is characterized by difficulty in
muscle control, which causes problems with
movement and coordination, language and
speech, and can affect learning.
• Although not a learning disability, Dyspraxia
often exists along with Dyslexia, Dyscalculia or
ADHD.
Signs of Dyspraxia
• Exhibits poor balance; may appear clumsy; may
frequently stumble
• Shows difficulty with motor planning
• Demonstrates inability to coordinate both sides
of the body
• Has poor hand-eye coordination
• Exhibits weakness in the ability to organize self
and belongings
• Shows possible sensitivity to touch
• May be distressed by loud noises or constant
noises like the ticking of a clock or someone
tapping a pencil
• May break things or choose toys that do not
require skilled manipulation
• Has difficulty with fine motor tasks such as
coloring between the lines, putting puzzles
together; cutting accurately or pasting neatly
• Irritated by scratchy, rough, tight or heavy
clothing

movements, one can improve self-awareness
and concentration levels.
• Different techniques and postures will also
help in achieving patience and persistence.
• It helps individuals with learning disabilities
feel assured in themselves and surrounding.
• Yoga poses improve learning skills
concentration and focus.
Message for Dyspraxic people
• Do not get bogged down by your disability.
You are much more than that. Just do not
believe your limitation. Apply your positive
quality . Push yourself.
