We use superlatives to talk about the difference
between three or more people, animals or
things.
Usain Bolt is The Fastest man in the world.
3. Superlative Form
How is a superlative form built?
We always use The before the adjective.
One syllable adjectives – add est at the end.
Long – The Longest
*If the adjective ends with CVC (Consonant+ Vogal+
Consonant) we double the last consonant.
Hot – The Hottest
Two syllables adjective ending with y – add ier at the end.
Funny – The Funniest
Other two or three syllables – add The Most before the
adjective.
The Most Confortable, The Most Affordable
