The new Group Health Bellevue
Medical Center is the flagship
facility serving the Group Health
membership in east King County.
Working with senior Group Health
team members, the Ellerbe Beck-
et-NAC|Architecture team devel-
oped a modular clinic design that
provides daily flexibility in clinical
assignment, clarity in patient
treatment, and easy conversion
to meet future needs.

Oak Harbor School District -
Oak Harbor, Washington
Oak Harbor High School is the
only public school for the small
Whidbey Island community in
Puget Sound and desperately
needed modernizing. The original
school was characterized by
very narrow corridors, class-
rooms without windows, and
roofs without sufficient drainage.
The redesigned campus fo-
cused on bringing daylight
to all classrooms, widening
corridors, updating technology,
and consolidating the school
into three buildings. The design
includes a displacement mechan-
ical ventilation system, extensive
daylighting, and employs other
green building practices such as
infiltration gardens and recycling
of existing building components
