  2. 2. Ambulatory Surgery Center/ Medical Office Building (40,000 SF) Kernersville, NC The MedCenter represents the first move for the health system to implement their ambulatory care strategy. The facility is designed to create a strong presence in the outer reaches of their service area, with patient convenience and quality clearly evident in the branding. A distinct tower element located at the main entrance of the facility was designed to develop an identifiable image for health system. Exterior walls using the same brick materials incorporated at the main hospital provide an additional aesthetic link to the main campus. Extensive use of glass characterizes the modern, state-of-the-art care that is provided within while providing patients and staff the ability to enjoy views of nature. The outpatient facility and site were master planned to accommodate an additional 40,000 square feet of expansion along with another separate building of 23,000 square feet. As Project Coordinator, I led the design development and construction documents for facility, and further led the interior architecture design of the "branding" tower.   3. 3. Ambulatory Care Center/ Medical Office Building (76,000 SF) High Point, NC The MedCenter represents the second step in the implementation of the health system’s ambulatory care strategy. This facility was designed to continue the branding of new ambulatory care delivery that was initiated with MedCenter Kernersville. A distinct tower element located at the main entrance of the facility is designed in likeness to tower elements and entrances at other health system facilities to enhance familiarity and develop an identifiable image for health system. The Facility includes both ambulatory care center and medical offices including a 24-hour emergency department. The site was master planned to accommodate up to 150,000 square feet with expansion options studied for potential hospital, surgery center and cancer center. As Project Designer, I led overall building design and design development documents for facility, and further led the interior architecture design of the main entrance lobby. Key role included detailing of facade systems - curtainwall, high performance glazing, and aluminum composite panels. Mixed-Use Development/ 30 Story Tower (300,000 SF)(ongoing) Tbilisi, Georgia (International) Project represents a commitment to expressive modern design that reflects the emerging economy of Georgia. As the country's tallest steel structure, the residential tower component will become an iconic form in the skyline; a symbol of national pride and technological achievement. As a true mixed-use building, the program includes luxury lifestyle apartments, exclusive retail, and class "A" office space. Consulting Architect to local Georgian firm. As Project Designer for the building envelope, I led the geometric rationalization, detailing, and specifications for complex all glass residential tower and mixed use lower block. Design basis included bespoke unitized curtain wall system by Schuco, and insulated glass units and high performance coatings by Guardian Industries.   5. 5. 100 Bed Replacement Hospital (245,000 SF) Fort Mill, SC seeking LEED Silver Certification The project consists of a new 100-bed acute care hospital, central energy plant and related site development on approximately 40 acres in Fort Mill, South Carolina. The planning elements will include a 100-bed hospital with 150-bed expansion. As Project Designer, I led overall building design and design development documents for facility, and further led the sustainable facade design and specifications. Project incorporated 100% recycled content brick by GreenLeaf, thermally broken curtainwall and storefront by Oldcastle, and insulated glass units and high performance coatings by Guardian Industries into a regional design vernacular. Key role included detailing of facade systems - masonry veneer, curtainwall, aluminum composite panels and high performance glazing. Medical Office Building and Outpatient Services (30,000 SF) Charleston, SC At the request of hospital administration and after initial analysis, there was a commission for a master plan and design of two medical office buildings. Each medical office building will primarily provide office space for multi-practice physician offices, and must account for multiple tenants. The buildings' design should be in keeping with the existing hospital architecture and current design trends. As Project Designer, I led overall building design and construction documents for fast track, developer driven facility. During process I navigated thru stringent commercial corridor review process.   7. 7. Diagnostic Center and Medical Office Building (57,000 SF) Belmont, NC With extensive growth in the Belmont area, there was a need for satellite care between Charlotte and Gastonia. The new facility includes pre- surgery services, physical therapy, women's imaging, and general imaging. Additional space had been programmed for future growth and separate tenant space. As Project Designer, I led overall building design and construction documents for developer driven facility. Key role included coordinating multiple, concurrent projects and guiding the client user groups thru space planning process. Endoscopy Clinic and Ambulatory Surgery Center (68,000 SF) Baton Rouge, LA With a Physicians’ Group Practice growing at a quick pace, there was need to expand the practice beyond the constraints of the existing 20,000 square foot building. The new building includes a Gastrointestinal Clinic, Outpatient Endoscopy Center, Imaging Center, and The O.N.E. Weigh System. Additional needs included patient friendly way-finding, visibility within the community, and the versatility to respond to future business flow. While meeting each of these concerns, the Endoscopy Center grew to the largest facility of its kind in the Southeast. As Co-Project Designer, I led overall building design and construction documents for the multi-use ASC; creating the largest endoscopy center in the southeast. Key role included detailing of the building envelope and specifications. Outpatient Urgent Care and Cancer Center (70,000 SF) Fayetteville, NC Charged with creating a cutting edge outpatient services center that would extend the health system's reach to North Fayetteville. The diversified services include a cancer center with medical and radiation oncology, urgent care, outpatient imaging and lab, physical and occupational therapy, sleep lab, outpatient pharmacy, and family practice. As Project Designer, I led overall building design and design development documents for developer led, community treatment facility. Design included creating distinct entrances for the main entrance, cancer center, and urgent care.
