dog to come when called:
1. First, put your dog on a leash. Then say 'come'

process, say yes and give him/her a treat.

By using a shorter leash, bring
your dog closer to you by
saying 'come'.

Do not give 'stay' command with food in your hand.

Duration: - The amount of time your dog is in a 'stay'.
Distance: - How far you go from your dog.
Distraction: - Anything that shifts his focus during 'stay'.
12. Teach your dog to 'stay'
Give your dog a stay command with your
voice and hand.
Move a little away from your dog, by
holding your hand and telling your dog to
stay.
