Nature Center Announces Dates for Summer Camp
FORT WORTH (Feb. 27, 2015) – The Fort Worth Nature Center &
Refuge announces the dates for its one-day Summer Natural History Adventures
which will take place June 8 – July 31. The nature center welcomes kids in
kindergarten through sixth grades to engage in activities that will educate them
about nature and the environment.
“Our mission is to educate the community about the preservation and
protection of the nature center,” Executive Director Laura Woods said.

Summer Camp
Activities
Kids have the opportunity to engage in some outdoor fun this summer while
learning about the importance of nature and the environment. Kids will get to
explore the refuge’s prairies, forests, wetlands and get to observe the wildlife that
lives among the nature center. The kids will hike on the trails and get to see a
scenic view while they journey through the rich forests with many more activities.
Dates and Times
- Kindergarten Adventures meet Mondays from 8:30 - 11:30 a.m.
- First and second grades are scheduled Tuesdays from 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.
- Third and fourth grades meet Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.
- Fifth and sixth grades are scheduled Thursday from 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.
An after-care is available Tuesday through Thursday from 3 - 4:30 p.m. for an
additional $5 per child.

- For Members – Kindergarten $15, Grades 1 – 6, $35
- For Non-Members – Kindergarten $20, Grades 1 – 6, $40
