To Whom It May Concern,
My name is Michael Kluthe, general manager for Mid America Agri Products/Wheatland
(MAAP/W), an ethanol plant in Madrid, Nebraska. We hired Randy Carpenter in February,
2012 under contract to implement our maintenance program. Within the maintenance program,
it had to include the mandated Process Safety Management (PSM) regulation consisting largely
of mechanical integrity, the traceability of work orders and preventive maintenance schedules,
spare part inventory, cost, etc. Randy’s task was to implement our MapCon system by up
grading it and then building it into an operational system. The challenge of gathering the
necessary documentation and obtaining data from plant site was a surmountable task, but with
his persistence and determination he was able to accomplish the task set before him. The final
step in completing his contract was the successful training he provided to management and the
control operator.
Randy went over and beyond his contract obligation by supporting us with his expertise in
updating other computer issues on plant site that involved our DCS Siemens 7 System and
remote access. MAAP/W appreciated the willingness and time Randy also spent in consulting us
in reviewing and writing the specifications and contract manage to upgrade and increase the
capacity of our plant network. Again, Randy over a period of 8-1/2 months provided the
consultant service that we agreed to and was always willing to go beyond his contract to support
MAAP/W in its needs.
