4. The bitrochanteric diameter 10cm ,enters the
pelvis in the left oblique diameter of the brim
The sacrum points to the left iliopectineal
eminence
5. Engagement of the hips takes place in an LSA
position and the bitrochanteric diameter in
the left oblique diameter
6. Descent takes place initially with increasing
compaction ,owing to increased flexion of the
limbs .Desent occurs through out
7. The anterior buttocks reaches the pelvic floor
first and rotate forward 1/8th of a circle along
the right side of the pelvis to lie under the
symphysis pubis
The bi trochanter diameter is now in the Ap
diameter of the outlet
8. The anterior buttocks escapes under the
symphysis pubis ,the posterior buttocks
sweeps over the perineum and the buttocks
are born by a movement of lateral flexion
9. The anterior buttocks turns slightly to the
mothers right side
10. The shoulder(Bi sacromial Diameter 12cm)
enter the pelvis in the same left oblique
diameter .the Anterior shoulder rotate 1/8th
along the right side pelvis and escapes under
the symphysis pubis
11. Birth of the shoulder takes place by lateral
flexion
The anterior shoulder impinges beneath the
symphysis pubis and posterior shoulder
pivote around the pubic bone
12. The head enter the pelvis with the saggital
suture in the transverse diameter of the brim
The engaging diameter of the head is
suboccipito frontal 10cm
The occiput rotate forward along the left side
of the pelvis and the subocciputal region
impinges under the symphysis pubis
13. External rotation of the body takes place
simultaneously .the body turns so that the
back of the baby is upward and the baby
facing down
14. The chin ,face and sinciput sweeps over the
perineum and the head is born in a flexed
attitude .
