the following project:
- Aircrafts Maintenance Hangars, Saudi Arabia. Data collection, master plan update, feasibility
study, preliminary design, preparation of tender documents, review of detailed design
prepared by the Contractor, and supervision of construction for a maintenance, repair and
overhaul facility, consisting of a 14-bay wide-bodied aircraft maintenance hangar
(107,100 m²), 2-bay paint hangar (13,000 m²), 4-aircraft wash dock (28,000 m²), engine
run-up area and blast fence (18,000 m²), shop core building and administration block
(90,000 m²), warehouse (45,000 m²), 14-aircraft apron (110,000 m²), and a car-parking
area for 2,000 cars (48,000 m²), including all electromechanical and infrastructure utilities
and networks.
Participated in the design and design review of industrial and mechanical systems and
installations, including coordination with other trades, equipment selection and sizing, and
preparation of specifications and other technical design documents, for the following projects:
- Centralized Customs Area at the New Port Project (NPP), Qatar. Detailed design and tender
documents for inspection sheds, offices, laboratories, scanning installations, workshop and
maintenance facility, and mosque, including all infrastructure and landscaping works. Total
site area of 695,000 m², including 165,000 m² of landscaped areas. Total built-up area:
71,500 m².
2. - Madinah Hajj City, Saudi Arabia. Master plan, detailed design, tender documents and
supervision of construction for a township on a 1.6 million m² site located 3 km southwest
of the Holy Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, envisaged to accommodate 120,000 pilgrims. The
project comprises 82 hotel towers; office towers; commercial mall with a gross area of
71,000 m² and a 100,000 m² basement for 2,200 cars; 2 mosques (of which one Grand
Mosque) for 14,000 worshipers; a 360-bed hospital complex; and elevated light rail transit
and bus stations. The project is complete with all electromechanical installations; wet
infrastructure, fire water and chilled water networks; in addition to 4 chilled water plants of
50,000 TR each along with thermal energy storage tanks.
- Dubai Airports Strategic Plan 2020 (SP2020) - Cargo Facilities at Dubai International
Airport, United Arab Emirates. Detailed design, tender documents and supervision of
construction for the upgrading and expansion of the Cargo Handling Facilities (CHF’s),
including relocation of Express Courier and Mail Centre (EMC) (small courier companies from
Hall B to FG1 and large courier companies from Hall B to Dubai Flower Centre (DFC)) thus
allowing for the demolition of Hall B, upgrading the Cargo Mega Terminal (CMT) and
expanding it by one module, refurbishment and partial demolition of Hall A to serve as the
west Forward Transhipment Area (FTA), and construction of the east Forward Transhipment
Area (FTA) and a nearby east Cross Dock area. The project also comprises all MEP services
and material handling equipment with their related controls and instrumentation in addition
to all infrastructure utilities and networks (roads, chilled water, water and fire-fighting,
drainage, power supply and distribution, low-current).
- Lagos Infrastructure Development (LID) Project, Nigeria. Detailed design (under BIM
management) and supervision of construction for a mixed-use development comprising
office facilities for 2,000 employees (43,270 m²), 200 residential apartments (60,000 m²),
staff accommodation for 500 persons (12,000 m²), hotel with a capacity of 200 guestrooms
(20,000 m²), clubhouse and kindergarten (5,950 m²), restaurant, helipad, jetty, utility
buildings (power and water supply, water and sewage treatment, etc.), gatehouse, parking
lots and car-park buildings for residences and offices (76,850 m²), recreational amenities,
civic activity building, retail units, and all infrastructure utilities (roads, drainage, wet
infrastructure, pedestrian accesses, street and public lighting, landscaping,
telecommunications, IT services).
- Salahaddin University, Erbil - New Campus (Buildings), Iraq. Master plan, detailed design
and tender documents for a new university campus with a student enrolment of 40,000 at
its ultimate phase, comprising Presidency Building, 13 college buildings for various
specialisations, administration facilities, classrooms, teaching and open laboratories,
research laboratories, offices, conference spaces, central library/study, sports and athletic
facilities, assembly and exhibit spaces, University Press in addition to non-academic
buildings and facilities that include student dormitories (capacity of 6,000 at ultimate
phase), faculty and staff housing for 1,000 persons at ultimate phase, staff club, main
mosques for 2,000 worshipers, retail outlets, gates and security access points and
transportation terminals.
- Concourse C Improvements at Dubai International Airport, United Arab Emirates. Detailed
design, tender documents and supervision of construction for the full renovation and
upgrading of a 90,000 m² concourse building to be completely used by Emirates Airlines
following the opening of Concourse D that will be dedicated to other airline users. The apron
level includes most of technical areas, bussing area, transfer area and remote gate. The
departure level includes departure facilities, boarding lounges, main duty free, retail area,
and food and beverage spaces. The arrival level includes the arrival corridor, transfer area
and Business Class lounges. The Hotel 1 level includes the hotel lobby, hotel rooms, First
Class lounges, and some MEP spaces. The Hotel 2 level includes hotel rooms and First Class
lounges. Works also comprise reconfiguring the 28 existing stands into 24 stands (11 for
Code E and 13 for Code F aircrafts).
- Procurement and Operation of Equipment at Tripoli Port, Lebanon. Preparation of an
Information Memorandum and tender documents, selection of bidders, tendering,
evaluation of bids and contract award (Built/Operate/Transfer (BOT) for a period of
25 years), as part of the selection of an Operator to run the operations of a terminal for
handling containers, and bulk and general cargo at the Port of Tripoli. The terminal consists
of a 600 m long quay wall (Phase 1) extendible to 1,200 m at final construction phase.

3. - Road Overpass at Shidiya Rail Link and Wadi Yutum Rail Terminal, Jordan. Topographic
survey, subsoil investigation by boreholes, and hydrology, drainage, structural and road
designs for a 2 km long/100 m wide overpass with one at-grade T-intersection. Detailed
design for a new trans-shipment terminal at Wadi Yutum housing train unloading stations
with unloading hoppers, discharge screw conveyors, and dust control bag filters; phosphate
storage shed with storage conveyor and staking tripper; belt conveyors with their transfer
towers and dust control bag filters; electrical substation; workshop and spare parts storage
facility; water tanks and pumping station; compressed air station; sewage treatment plant;
fuel filling station; administration and service buildings; guardhouse; signalling, lighting and
telecommunication systems; and an approach road connecting the terminal to Aqaba Back
Road. The project also comprises the detailed design of a 6 million tons/year phosphate
train loading facility, including silos, conveyors, wagon weighing bridge, auxiliary offices and
control rooms, power supply, instrumentation and control systems, and infrastructure
works.
- Shidiya Phosphate Mine Rail Loading Terminal, Jordan. Detailed design for a 6 million
tons/year phosphate train loading facility, including train loading silos, conveyors, wagon
weigh bridge, associated instrumentation, control and power supply systems, auxiliary
offices and control rooms, and general site works.
- Five Regional Specialised Hospitals, Saudi Arabia. Detailed design (under BIM management
and according to LEED requirements-5 registrations) and tender documents for 5 new
specialised hospitals as follows (total built-up area of 637,000 m²): Maternity Hospital at
King Abdulaziz Medical City Riyadh Campus (300 beds), King Abdullah Specialised Children
Hospital at King Abdulaziz Medical City Jeddah Campus (350 beds), Neuroscience and
Trauma Care Centre at King Abdulaziz Medical City Jeddah Campus (176 beds), Taif
Specialised Hospital (300 beds in addition to support and housing facilities), Qassim
Specialised Hospital (300 beds in addition to support and housing facilities). Taif and Qassim
general hospitals, along with their relevant buildings components, are envisaged to be of
similar design, serving as a prototype to be applied by the Client in to other
locations/regions.
- Concourse C-Concourse B Baggage Handling System (BHS) Link Enclosure, United Arab
Emirates. Detailed design for the basic amenities/necessities of the BHS link, including all
architectural, structural, civil and MEP works. The project comprises slab
openings/penetration at both concourses’ apron levels to allow for the penetration of the
upgraded BHS conveyors to both concourses’ first basement levels in addition to the
structure, architectural envelope/cladding and MEP services for the BHS running outside the
concourses.
- Upgrading the Baggage Handling System (BHS) at Rafic Hariri International Airport,
Lebanon. Detailed design, tender documents and supervision of construction for the
incorporation of the baggage X-Ray machines into the BHS system at the airport’s east and
west terminals for baggage automatic search, including modifications to the existing
conveyors and addition of new ones that transport rejected or suspicious baggage to
inspection rooms. The project also comprises a Central Control Room (CCR) with a Closed
Circuit TV (CCTV) system for baggage monitoring and storage of images produced by the
baggage X-Ray machines.
- Bahrain International Airport Terminal Expansion, Bahrain. Review, validation and
development into working construction documents (under BIM management) of an initial
concept design for the expansion of the existing terminal building (for both new
constructions and renovated areas) to cater for 13.5 million passengers/year. Works
comprise the relocation of affected facilities/services to maintain operations during
expansion, including 2 new office buildings; passenger terminal building expansion by
68,000 m² with all its lounges, counters and areas; car-park deck; landside access road,
ramp and parking; rotunda buildings; passenger loading bridges and affected apron
services; central utility complex and associated substation; terminal substations and
emergency plant; medium voltage network; upgrading of the primary airport station;
replacement of the 7 existing air bridges; and the preparation of a comprehensive solid
waste management plan. Total built-up area: 88,000 m².
- Security Buildings in Shamiyah, Saudi Arabia. Design and tender documents (under BIM
management) for a residential and administrative complex that provides accommodation to
19,400 officers and soldiers of the Ministry of Interior in addition to all infrastructure
utilities, landscaping, and various support facilities and services, including kitchen, dining
area, laundry, recreational and assembly areas, 300-bed hospital with staff housing, police
and civil defence stations, etc. The complex has a direct access to Makkah Haram plazas
through pedestrian tunnels.

4. - Hurghada International Airport - Construction Package 1, Egypt. Supervision of construction
for a new 3-level passenger Terminal Building (TB) for international and domestic flights,
with an overall capacity of 7.5 million passengers/year with a total built-up area of
91,500 m². The TB accommodates all relevant facilities and services with direct landside
and airside interfaces. It includes 9 contact gates with passenger loading bridges, 72 check-
in counters, Out of Gauge (OOG) counter, 36 passport control booths for departure and
arrival, 9 inbound baggage claim carrousels and 6 outbound baggage conveyors with the
appropriate baggage handling system, and a 5-level security control system. The TB
incorporates the latest information technology and airport-related equipment, including
communication systems, baggage handling system, fire detection and fighting systems,
specialised air-conditioning and ventilation systems, standby power generation, passenger
and freight lifts, etc.
- Yafour Hospital Project, Syria. Detailed design and supervision of construction for a
healthcare facility with a total built-up area of 120,000 m², comprising Heart and Vascular
Institute (phase 1); Trauma, Women's Health and Paediatrics Section (phase 2); and an
education building (phase 3).
- King Abdul Aziz International Airport, Saudi Arabia. Project management, design review
(according to LEED requirements), construction management and supervision for a new
airport based on a new phased master plan up to the year 2035 (Phase 1 up to 2012),
comprising a new passenger terminal complex (670,000 m²) with a capacity of 30 million
passengers per annum to replace the existing North and South Terminals; facility design to
cater for both domestic and international operations, A380 aircrafts and full hub capability
with latest systems and equipment; integrated provision for a planned railway station and
an automated passenger mover (APM); airfield upgrading, new parallel taxiways, control
tower and related systems; state-of-the-art navigation aid and communication installations,
FIDS, departure control, life safety aspects and public address systems; Baggage Handling
System (BHS), support buildings and facilities, earthworks, complete landscaping, major
utility networks, new landside roads, tunnels and interchanges; programme coordination for
related projects, including fuel tank farm, Jet fuel supply line from Aramco to the fuel farm,
Jet fuel hydrant network, desalination plant, upgrading of existing terminals, sewage
treatment plant; and planning and infrastructure and earthworks for a major landside
commercial zone, complementing the main development.
- Duhok Airport - Buildings, Iraq. Detailed design and tender documents for a 15,000 m²
terminal building with all passenger and baggage facilities, planned to cater for one million
passengers/year and 43,300 tons/year of cargo in 2035 in addition to a 1,000 m² air traffic
control tower, 1,800 m² fire station building, 2,200 m² central utility complex (CUC), and all
other airport-related facilities.
- Academic Support Facilities at Sabah Al-Salem University City - Kuwait University, Kuwait.
Design, tender documents and supervision of construction for various support facilities with
a total net area of 242,705 m², including a community-based public model school for pre-K
and K-12 education with a capacity of 633 students (35,840 m²), community-based day-
care with a capacity of 112 children (2,846 m²), Centre for Futuristic and Strategic Studies,
Gulf Studies Centre, Academic Publication Council building, faculty housing and
neighbourhood centre, guesthouse, men’s and women’s student housing facilities and
neighbourhood centres, waste management facilities, construction and maintenance
