enjoyable. For buildings, it offers products and services that optimize energy use and improve comfort and
security. Johnson Controls also provides batteries for automobiles and hybrid‐electric vehicles, along with
systems engineering and service expertise.
INFORMATICA PROJECT
Background
The objective of the Informatica Project at Johnson Controls is to Consolidate legacy systems into one system
with data from all systems. This way a CRM product will be installed only at one call center through which
Johnson controls operates all its installation and service calls.
Resolution
Consolidate all legacy business units into one system. Sierra’s ETL developers have to identify all the various
source systems. Once done, we find out how business would like this information transformed in the new
system or and if they need additional changes that were not there in the old system.
Build code around the source system to retrieve the data into the new system with new transformation from
business leads.
Outcome
One central system of CRM to work with instead of un‐coordinated systems of truth.
