American writer Edgar
Allan Poe.
Edgar Allan Poe mostly

writer.
In 1842 Poe published his work "The Black
Cat" and in this work he use horror
atmosphere.

and horrible things. "The Black Cat" is an
amazing short story and people really like
to read.

of Romenticism in the United States and
of American literature as a whole, and
he was one of the country's earlier
practitioner of the short story.
Poe's publishing career began with the
anonymous collection Tamerlane and Other
Poems (1827), credited only to "a
Bostonian".

1. Horror atmosphere :
We can see in this story the large
number of horror atmosphere and some
kind of horrible aspects. The Black Cat is
also the symbol of horror.
2. Love & hate as a theme :
In "The Black Cat" story show the love
and hate feelings with the some
periodic moments.
3. Confession as a theme :
End of the story Narrator confess his
crime by the fear of visual effects.
4. Drugs & alcohol as a theme :
Crime is happen in this story by the reason
of drugs and alcohol.

The Narrator create the violence on the
Black Cat and sometime he hate the cat
who in the Black colour.

1. Narrator :
Narrator is the ring leader in this great story
"The Black Cat". And in this story he has
make a crime. Sometime he lots of love to
animal and sometime he deeply hate to
animal.
2. Narrator's wife :
Narrator's wife who loves a lot to black cat
and other pets.
3. The first Black Cat :
The first Black Cat name like Pluto and that
loves the narrator. But narrator feel
irritation by the Pluto.
4. The second Black Cat :
Narrator think about his crime and then
imagine the ghost of the cat who in the
entirely black.
5. Policemen :
Police party investigate the happening into
the narrator's house and try to figure out
everything.

Servent working in the narrator's house.
6. Plot of this story
"The Black Cat" is an amazing short story and
written by Edgar Allan Poe. This story fulfill with
lots of horrible aspects. This story narrated as
first person singular. This story first published in
19 August, 1842 in the Saturday evening post.
"The Black Cat" story began with the narrator
who has hate to black cat. On one narrator came
to home with taking drugs and alcohol and at
that time he has first attact by pen knife on the
black cat.
Narrator really hate to black cat or any other
animals. But his wife loves and care black cat or
any other animals. And the same narrator
always trying to kill and hate to black cat.
Narrator truly annoyance by the black cat that
all the time follow. He always feel irritation by
the cat's eyes. He has many time trying to kill
the black cat but he can't.
One day he decide to kill black cat by the axe
but unfortunately narrator kill his own wife in
the Darkness. After some time he realise what
is happening.
Then police party come to narrator's house
and investigation everything. Narrator see
the horror shap of the black cat of gallows
on the garden's tree. And then by the fear
he confesse his own crime and then
policemen taking him into jail.
That's the same consept Edgar Allan Poe use
in the story "The Tell - Tale heart". In this
story he also use some horrible things. Also
in this story Narrator scared by old man's
eyes.

Edgar Allan Poe mostly in his work use
horror atmosphere and some horrible
things. In "The Black Cat" we can see the
horror moment of black cat. And narrator
confess his own crime only by the fear and
some aspects. In this work horror theme
show the uniqueness or creative art.
8. Writing style of Poe
Edgar Allan Poe known as the unique
writer in literature. Poe use some theme,
background, story all are the most
interesting to read. Poe mostly use in his
works of art like scary moments, scary
things, darkness and many more
newness we can see in Poe's work. Poe
known as the detactive types of story.

1. The Black Cat as a symbol :
The Black Cat is the symbol of love and
hate.

Axe is a symbol of murder.
3. Drugs and alcohol as a symbol :
Drugs and alcohol are the symbol of
intoxication.

"The Black Cat" story about the horrible
things, scary moments and as well as love and
hate are the most probably things in this short
story. In Poe's every works we can identify the
some detactive prospect. Violence is the
center figure in this short story. In this story
we can see the highly decorated imaginary
thoughts it's has to too heavy on the mind.

  • 4. 1. In starting "The Black Cat" is a short story and written by American writer Edgar Allan Poe. Edgar Allan Poe mostly known as short story writer. In 1842 Poe published his work "The Black Cat" and in this work he use horror atmosphere.

  • 17. 6. Plot of this story "The Black Cat" is an amazing short story and written by Edgar Allan Poe. This story fulfill with lots of horrible aspects. This story narrated as first person singular. This story first published in 19 August, 1842 in the Saturday evening post. "The Black Cat" story began with the narrator who has hate to black cat. On one narrator came to home with taking drugs and alcohol and at that time he has first attact by pen knife on the black cat.
  • 18. Narrator really hate to black cat or any other animals. But his wife loves and care black cat or any other animals. And the same narrator always trying to kill and hate to black cat. Narrator truly annoyance by the black cat that all the time follow. He always feel irritation by the cat's eyes. He has many time trying to kill the black cat but he can't. One day he decide to kill black cat by the axe but unfortunately narrator kill his own wife in the Darkness. After some time he realise what is happening.
  • 19. Then police party come to narrator's house and investigation everything. Narrator see the horror shap of the black cat of gallows on the garden's tree. And then by the fear he confesse his own crime and then policemen taking him into jail. That's the same consept Edgar Allan Poe use in the story "The Tell - Tale heart". In this story he also use some horrible things. Also in this story Narrator scared by old man's eyes.
