Teaching how to use toners to neutralise. I used coloured paints and got students to mix the colours to understand what colours neutralised others

 The international colour chart is a numbered system that tells you how dark a hair
tint is (first number), and what tones are present (second number).

3.  The colour wheel shows you what
colours are opposite each other and
therefore cancel each other out.
 There are 3 levels of tone:
1. Primary (Depth/P)
2. Secondary (Depth/PS)
3. Tertiary (Depth/PST)
 The depth of the hair colour is
determined by how many black and
brown pigments are in the hair.
 A hair tint can have all 3 levels of tone
present
