2. Introduction
• It is necessary to provide access to the CRM hosted in data center to the
customer service center and call center. Meditation application hosted in BSS
Data Center to the customer also need to pull CDRs ,IPRDs and other usage data
records from the network elements like MSC, GGSN etc. which may be placed
geographically away spanning thousands of kilometers. For the activation of
services the provisioning application also need to have connectivity with HLR/HSS
to activate the subscriber or the facility provisioning / de-provisioning . Hence it is
necessary to create WAN connection all the Network elements and CRM
terminals.
• Creating two separate WANs is recommended. One for the CRM traffic and other
for the Billing Meditation and provisioning
• Also the telecom service provider portals hosted in BSS Data Center needs to be
accessed by the user from the rest of the world though internet. Hence BSS Data
Center also needs to be connected to an internet service provider
10. Conclusion
• Creation of WAN for access of CRM application by customer service
centers and call centers need to be planned to provide access to the
complete geographical area served by service provider.
• Network elements for mediation for billing and provisioning need to
be connected with BSS data center.
