the uninsuredof Buncombe County.InpartnershipwithMissionHospital,promotescommunity
wellnesswithfree healthcare.Healthcare needsare metthroughastaff of volunteerphysicians,nurses,
pharmacists,dentists,hygienistsandclerical assistants.The Medical Ministryoffersmedical care and
dental extractionsessionseachweek.The pharmacyprovidesservicesforpatientsandthe community.

Patientsmustbe uninsured;thisincludesMedicare andMedicaid.
The Medical Ministrydoesnot provide the followingservices;Physicals(job,sportorschool);Primary
Care; Preventive orScreeningTests; DisabilityDeterminations;andLab or X-Rayservicesforchronic
healthproblems.
The Medical Ministrydoesnot prescribe stockordispense narcoticsorcontrolledsubstances.
Eligibility…
Proof of income,apicture ID andproof of residencymaybe requested.Patientsthatclaimzeroincome
mustprovide additional informationaftertheirfirstvisit.
