Worked as a Project Engineer on Diesel Hydro Desulphurization (DHDS) project, the DHDS plant is equipped with
a maximum capacity of 26,000 barrels per day, and reduces sulphur contents in High Speed Diesel (HSD) from
7,000 parts per million to 500 parts per million which is an EURO II requirement. M/S CNCEC (China National
Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd) in consortium with M/S Hyundai Engineering were awarded the project.
Responsibilities:
Supervising the installation including erection, levelling, alignment, lube oil flushing and dynamic running
of Mitsui positive displacement compressor.
Supervising the installation, levelling and dynamic running of SULZER centrifugal pumps.
Supervising the installation, levelling and dynamic running of LEWA reciprocating pumps.
Supervising the installation, witnessing the the start‐up check and dynamic running of GEA air fin coolers.
Installation of feed storage tank (Capacity 32,000 BPD) including erection, hydro testing and calibration of
tank.
Installation of natural draft cylindrical heater including installation of refractory, tubes and burners.
Witnessing the installation of reactor internals and loading of catalyst under the supervision of UOP.
Installation of single and two pass BDH valve trays in suction drum, stripper, wet scrubber, and knock out
drums.
Installation and connection of utility, process tie‐in lines with existing plant.

Worked as a Project Engineer for Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Company (TAKREER) expansion of its existing refinery
facility in Ruwais Industrial Complex (RIC) for addition of a Group III Base Oil Production Facility. The purpose of
the Project was to produce stable low pour point Group III NExBASE qualities 3043, 3050, 3060 along with Group II
NExBASE 3020 and 3030 as by products. The Project used Unconverted Oil (UCO) as the feedstock from the
revamped Ruwais Hydrocracker Unit 103 (HCK). The estimated production capacity was around 500 KPTA of Group
III Base Oils and about 120 KPTA of Group II Base Oils.
