6. TYPES OF SHOOTING
Grouping
The maximum distance between
two points of shot bullets.
Bullets may shot in any point of
the target , there is no rules to shot
the bull’s eye in grouping.
Snap shooting
•Shooting a small size of target.
•Points may given if the bullet touches the
snap.

9. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Push forward the safety catch by raising and
drawing back the bolt knob.
Examine the chamber and the magazine to be
clear.
Push the bolt knob forward and then down.
Press the trigger and apply the safety catch.
Check the drill cartridges to ensure that there is no
live ammunition.
10. CARE & CLEANING THE RIFLE
Cleaning should be done regularly for Efficient
operations
For cleaning, strip the rifle, open the butt trap,
remove the pull through and the oil bottle for
cleaning.

13. FIRING RANGE PROCEDURES
On the order of Detail Advance ‘Aage Barh’ the first
detail will take position on the firing point.
On the lowering of the red flag at the butt , the
officer gives the order ‘Detail Advance’.
The coaches check up their positions and correct
them if needed, and give the word of command
‘Limber up’.
The officer will then give the order to load and carry
on.
The firing will start only after getting orders from
officer-in-charge, firing.
On completion of fire, the firers must raise their
right hand up, keeping the elbow on the ground.
14. Officer-in-charge will give the word of command
‘Khali Kar’ when all have finished. On this the firers
will take their rifles onto their shoulders and move
the bolt twice, press the trigger and stand up.
The officer-in-charge will give the command ‘Detail
Report’, on this the firers would report ‘Number ek
rifle theek, dho theek and teen theek’. The report
will be from the left to right.
The detail are changed by word of command and
the new detail which has been waiting comes up
while another detail forms up behind.
Before firers leave the range they will have a further
weapon inspection. Each firer must ensure that
he/she has no live ammunition.
15. Mean point of Impact (MPI)
the central point of area covered by the group of rounds fired
with consistent aim and held at the same aiming mark is called
MPI.
