More Than Protein 4 More Than Protein Highlights Organic Cleaning Plant Conventional Cleaning Plant Location of new Protein Extraction Plant, Bowden AB • Business Operations: MTP consists of three operations: A 50,000 MT Conventional Pulse Cleaning & Splitting Plant, a 16,000 MT Organic Pulse Cleaning & Splitting Plant, and a 40,000 MT Pulse Protein Wet Fractionation Extraction Plant. The operation will supply organic & conventional cleaned pulses, split peas, & pulse protein, fibre and starch. MTP will build R&D, enzyme, and fibre refinement production lines, allowing MTP to develop new commercial-scale products rapidly. • Strategy: Complete pulse utilization with sales of both organic & conventional starch, pulse flour, protein, fibre, along with cleaned pulses & split peas. Will target Food, Nutrition, Pet Food, Feed, and Pharma manufacturers. MTP will take a first to market approach & focus on developing new & innovative plant-based ingredients.

More Than Protein 20 MTP in Atlantic Canada • MTP has been conducting R&D work and expects with the technology evolution and application of enzymes a lower capacity fractionation would be economically feasible. • MTP has plans to expand its fraction of peas into Atlantic Canada in future that can process a capacity of 10,000 MT/yr. • To make MTP’s fractionation plan in Maritimes a success it is estimated pea acres need to increase to 16,000 assuming an yield of 1.25 MT/acre.
