Why I Become A Teacher Essay
In Education, I feel that each and every child should be considered as a unique individual. Children need secure, stimulating and caring atmospheres
so that may grow maturely, intellectually, physically and socially. This is one of the main reasons I have chosen to become a teacher. Employers
usually search for certain skills, qualities, talents in characteristics when looking for potential teachers and I feel that I possess many. I am a very
organized individual; I have a lot of patience and experience in dealing with fast paced and stressful environments. I have a true passion for teaching
and children, early childhood education allows me to channel back to my childhood and make children excited about education. I have a work ethic
that does not quit and a strong willingness to reflect. With that being said, I have a true understanding of being able to ask myself why things went the
way that they did, both on good days and bad days. The purpose of developing an educational philosophy is that it defines the purpose and focus of an
educational institution. It typically becomes a part of the mission statement which defines which subject material is being taught. An institutional
philosophy is also able to how subjects are taught and most importantly the values that are taught along with the subjects being covered. I feel that
teaching beliefs are tied to teaching behaviors are very minimal and as the educator becomes more experienced they become less sensitive.

My Reasons For Becoming A Teacher Essay
My reasons for choosing to become a teacher were nicely summed up by the quote cited in chapter 1, "...If you want to make a difference in the life
of our nation, if you want to make a difference in the life of a child – become a teacher. Your country needs you." (President Obama, State of the
Union, 1/25/11). Some of the reasons that I relate to are a desire to make a difference in students ' lives, a desire to serve, and excitement about the
learning process. I want what I do professionally to have meaning, to leave a lasting impact on others. How better to leave a lasting impact than to
teach children? Assisting children to learn seems to be a worthy endeavor. The impact a teacher has can be far–reaching as the students of today are the
leaders and innovators of tomorrow. By teaching I am helping the community by assisting my students on their way to becoming contributing members
of society. Not only am I interested in helping young minds grow, I am also interested in my own growth. The life of a teacher further appeals to me
because it is a career choice that requires the professional to be an active learner themselves. 2.The breadth of knowledge and skills required for a
teacher to perform their duties is daunting. Teachers are required to know about themselves, their students, the subject matter they are teaching,
educational theories and current research, and the latest technology. Knowledge of just one area is not sufficient for being a teacher, they must

I have chosen to become a teacher because I believe that education is the center of a country's development process and prosperity. I want to be an
educator to play an effective role in my society's revival. Besides, I have always dreamed to be a teacher; it is a passion, which I truly have since I
was young. The strong teaching motivation, which I have is derived from the deep belief that teachers can make a big difference in their students'
lives. In addition, I believe that teaching is a noble profession, which should be taken seriously. I know that being a teacher is never easy; it comes
with high responsibilities and obstacles, but I am sure that I have suitable qualifications, which make me eligible to overcome them. Education as a
basic concept in my perspective is all about developing knowledge, skills, values, ethics, physical and spiritual aspects,...show more content...
I believe that curriculum should serve diversity of students because each student differs from the other. Since my philosophy aligns with essentialism,
I believe that books are helping tools that offer basic knowledge to students, so I will encourage my students to expand the knowledge, which they
have studied from the textbooks. As an English teacher I believe in the importance of reading and writing skills because they expand the vocabulary
and writing style, which English language follows. I will focus on sustainable development of my students' intellectual abilities through discussion and
critical thinking. In addition, I will ask them to read a story, which suits their level, each two weeks then I will ask them analytical questions related to
the story. Definitely, visual aid tools such as presentation slides will be used in my classroom in order to facilitate the learning process among my

Why I Want to Be a Teacher Essay
When I was younger if you asked me what I want to be when I grow up becoming a teacher was the last thing on my list because I hated school and
wasting my time learning things. I had a normal ghetto mindset that school wasn't for me and I didn't need it to be successful until I went into the
sixth grade. I had a teacher that really showed me interest in my learning to make me a better individuals and a grandmother who never let me give
up. From that year forwards but a few years later my grandmother past which was devastating me to the core just all of the lessons and the motivation
for a time was drained right out me. Then on day my mother asked me "how would mama look at the way you're going in life". At that moment I told

This is something that need to change because the only thing that it's doing is hurting our students.
In the past 40 years we know what works as well as what doesn't work yet in still we are doing the doing the wrong things in the field of education
which is creating dropout factories best describe in Waiting in Superman (2010). Dropout factories are high schools that have a 40 percent of their
students dropping out to the streets while closing the door could set them free. In American we have over 2,002 in 2007 to 1,652 in 2009 to 1,424 in
2013. Yes, the gap is closing on the number of dropout factories but there's still too many that is destroying the future of our children and communities
which isn't good. Other things wrong in the educations is that there are two unions made to defend the teachers when they are put teachers in a binding
contract that doesn't allow them to make changes into the school system. The two teacher unions is are the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) and
the National Education Association (NEA). These unions are so powerful that it's nearly impossible to get any change through to improve the learning
environment in ways of getting new materials for the classroom or paying out of pocket to get new supplies for the class. An educator should never
have to pay out of pocket for school supplies and that just one example of the problems with unions not funding schools the proper amount of

Why Do I Want to Become a Teacher? Essay
Everyone has progressed to where they are in life because they had a teacher. A teacher is defined as someone who gives instruction and
communicates skills. Our children are our future, and they need to be prepared for the future or they will not be successful in the working world.
Teaching makes a difference in them, because it gives them tools to help them be successful in the future. I would like to tell you why I would like to
become a special education teacher and what has led me to this decision and why I want to become a teacher. I have chosen to become a teacher
because I myself am a product of someone whom I consider to be the best teacher in the world. As a child in Virginia, I was inspired by a wonderful

Many people have stated that I am a very patient man. I come through my patience naturally through my mother, who was the most thoughtful, patient
individual I have ever met. I've had the opportunity of working in the Davis County School District as a substitute teacher and as the swim coach at
Bountiful High School. I have also spent many years coaching adolescents on a competitive swim team. My experiences have been very rewarding
thus far and have inspired me to want to become a special education teacher through the ATP Program. I can't even begin to describe the joyous feeling
of knowing that I've touched the lives of the kids–– it is truly priceless. When kids excel or simply say, "I get it," when kids come in and say, "Thanks"
or even "You're the best coach I ever had," or "will we have you again" that means a lot. They make me laugh, they give me hugs, they are
observant, and most of them just need a little push. They miss me when I'm gone, they try so hard to do what I ask so much of the time. The most
amazing feeling of all though is when the kids tell me "they want to be just like me and become a teacher or coach when they grow up".
I have finally discovered what I am truly passionate about and I am pursuing this passion by continuing my education so that I am able to fulfill my
goal of being a special education teacher. My goal is to be the best teacher any student has had and will have throughout his/her schooling. I want to

INTRODUCTION I believe that because I have wanted to be a teacher since I was a little girl. Not only have I wanted becoming a teacher for many
years, but also I have had many teachers in my past, good and bad, who have assisted me in realizing that teaching was the profession for me. I have
started to work as a teacher assistant in a school for autistic children.
Teaching is a challenging task. One shall perform his duty with the highest degree of excellence, professionalism, intelligence, skill, and with utmost
devotion and dedication to ensure the quality of education. It is also the noblest profession. A teacher carries numerous responsibilities. Her task is not
just simply delivering the lesson inside the four corners of the classroom but rather serves as the second parent of the students and therefore loves and
cares for her students like her real children. As an educator, I strongly believe that nurturing and nourishing all students must be my utmost concern. I
dream of students whose fullest potentials are developed to make them become responsible citizens. They must be properly taught to read, write and
speak both English and a second language. They must use these languages as an avenue for self–improvement and community building. They must
know how to process ideas, compute numbers, solve problems, apply concepts, and make decisions for themselves to make them empowered learners.
They must be students who are always hungry for knowledge,

THE PERSONAL ESSAY CATAWBA COLLEGE | Salisbury, NC Essay Question: Imagine that you have all the money that you need to live
comfortably and the skill set to work in or create any career you so desired. What would that career be? Why are you interested in it? If I had the
ability to not worry about how much I bring home a week, and the ability to have any job in the world knowing my kids would get fed and they
could get what they desire, I would be a teacher. Teaching isn't a bad job but I want more of a safe guard when it comes to money and my job. I
don't know how much longer they plan to keep teachers around with technology growing. However I have always wanted to teach because of three
major reasons. First would be that I would want to help our younger kids grow to be smarter than myself and my generation. Secondly I would like to
help the students build their community, inside the classroom and outside in the real world. Lastly I also want to be involved in school sports. It
would be a time consuming life however I believe it's worth the time and effort....show more content...
One of these big things is unleashing the ultimate weapon, the community. Students are great for a few things, manual labor, complaining, and
being smart when they want to be. I want to bring these three things together to make a project that would not only help the hungry but also would
help the students learn how they can help people in the community and world. This project of mine would be making a school garden in which we
would make meals and deliver those meals to the hungry. By doing this they learn how to do stuff as a community. This is essential in life because
not one person can succeed in life while others fall. It doesn't matter what the goal is, someone is always being used to help in some way or form.
Not only does it help build the community as a class or club, but it helps feed the hungry who can't be as

Why I Should Be A Teacher
There are many reasons why I want to be a teacher. I adore children and I think they have a great sense of humor. Teachers also have a job security
and that is important because not all jobs have that. I feel like in order to be a teacher I need to have compassion for My students. As a teacher, I
want to care for my students and show them appreciation. I want my students to succeed in what they want in life. According to Ferlazzo (2015),
"Students work hardest for teachers they like and respect. When I am asked, "How do I get students to like and respect me?" my immediate
response is, 'Like and respect them first.'" I believe this whole heartedly because I have always been taught to treat others the way I want to be treated.
It would appease me to know that I have mentored someone into being an intellectual individual. I would like to teach the second grade because I
enjoy the energy they give off and I value the foundations of elementary education. The philosophy of teaching that I have chosen is progressivism.
According to Cohen (1999), "Progressivists believe that education should focus on the whole child, rather than on the content or the teacher. This
educational philosophy stresses that students should test ideas by active experimentation. Learning is rooted in the questions of learners that arise
through experiencing the world." The progressivism philosophy is known as a student–centered philosophy which focuses mainly on the student itself.

Why I Want to be a Teacher
School is a major part of our young lives. It is where we spend the majority of our time as youngsters. Children begin to develop relationships with
people who have not been apart of their infancy. For someone who does not enjoy school, this could put a damper on their relationships with others as
well as their learning achievements in life. This is why I want to become a teacher. I want to develop a learning atmosphere where children feel joy
and security.
I believe that enjoying and feeling that one belongs is an important part of education. Yes, I used the word that makes some people shiver whenheard,

Children are with teachers the majority of the day. Children are influenced by what they see and why they are around. Not only are they teaching
them academics, but also manners, sportsmanship, and self worth. These are important factors that children need in everyday life. This is why a
teacher's job is so important. Most would say that teaching would be a hard job. But, I feel that it will be easy if you win your students over. I know
that the rewards in the end will out weigh the cost. Watching a student master a new task is the reward I am after.
I have always enjoyed school. I enjoy learning new topics as well as helping others understand those topics. I want to teach children to take an interest
in school even if it is in only one subject area. By getting them interested I hope to give them the reason they need to get up every morning and put an
effort into what they do. The more a student puts into school, the more they will get out of it.
I have always wanted to be a parent. I am a newly wed and we plan to have children in the near future. I feel that I will be a great parent because I
helped raise my two sisters so I have background with helping children and meeting their needs. As a future educator, I must convince students that I
care. I plan to open new doors and introduce ideas that spark interest in their souls.

Why Do I Want To Become A Teacher
Why do I want to become a teacher, you ask? Well a teacher is a very important role model for many childrens and parents as well. You can either
have a very positive or negative impact on the students. Growing up in an Asian household, teachers were well respected and was loved by parents,
despite them being good or bad. To my parents teachers are always right, I grew up to believe otherwise. I want to become a teacher and be the
teacher who will not disappoint my students. I want to plant a strong seed in my students, so they can grow and expand from it. I want to teach
because I want to educate students of Basic Skills, to support the students in and outside of school with the needs to be successful, I also want to see

I can't joke or share what I'm struggling with. The fact that they can discipline students by hitting us with their hand or stick really distance the

of teachers. So my experiences in their classroom really inspire me to become a teacher who care for their students, and build a connection where
the students is comfortable to share anything with me. I want to be an educator who is devoted into my students academic and struggles they are
facing and needed help with. I want to be a teacher they can rely on as a staff member and as a friend. I also want to practice and put Delpit's lesson

"Why I Want to Be a Teacher"
First of all, I love kids and it has always been my dream and passion to become an educator. For most people, the word teacher is defined as
someone who is responsible for informing or teaching someone something. But not everyone would have the same meaning or image for a teacher.
Teachers have a very important role of shaping the lives of young children and preparing them to become productive citizens in our community and
with these types of responsibilities teachers can attain great pride and joy. Therefore, I believe that all teachers should strive for what can be
considered to be a "good teacher." A good teacher can be defined as someone who always pushes students to want to do their best while at the same

Why I Would Be A Good Teaching Assistant
The reason I think I would be a good teaching assistant is because I have the fundamental of helping out the lead teacher. Recently I had to write a
essay on why I wanted to be a teacher. So down below is my essay on why I want to become a teacher.
The reason why I want to teach is because of the essential and noble profession. Next to parents, I think teacher are important foundational element in
our society. Being a teacher would show me the value, knowledge, and character to be a figure for children to look up to. The important thing is the
proper preparation and the fundamental to living a full and rewarding life. A teacher is defined as someone who gives instruction and communicates
skills. Teachers enhance the lives of our young children by using their teaching methods to deliver valuable information, which will serve the purpose
throughout their lives.
One of my favorite memories as a high or middle school student was that I looked up to my teachers. I was so excited the first time I went to
volunteer in a fourth grade class. I wanted to be a teacher for many reasons, but I think the biggest reason of all is my love for children in general.
After volunteering in a elementary classroom, I got to move up and sit in a middle school classroom that consist of 6–8th graders who has Autism
Spectrum Disorder. Each of those students have a different levels of disabilities. Working with autistic children opened my mind to different
opportunity to learn. When I started

Why Do You Want To Be A Teacher?
"Why do you want to be a teacher?" is one of the most common questions asked to a teacher. Some myths about teaching are teachers are heroes, the
pay is bad, students are brats, and you cannot just leave your classroom to use the bathroom. Not everything you hear or see on television about
teaching is true. There may be times where you want to pull your hair out due to student behavior or wish you made more money, but the job is not
about that. Teaching is about loving children and wanting to educate them so they can in return help us in the future by being doctors, lawyers, etc...
Therefore, teachers get the wrong impression, because they are either looked at as being the hero in someone's life or not knowing anything about their
job.
In "To Teach the journey of a teacher" by William Ayers different teaching styles are introduced. The book teaches us that nobody is a perfect teacher.
A couple myths from the book include time management is essential to teaching and you learn everything you need to know about teaching in college.
Everyone will have off days when they are teaching and it is not going to go perfectly. Also, you cannot really understand teaching until you are
actually in a classroom experiencing it for yourself. School may teach you basic skills and situations that you may encounter, but it is not real until
you actually experience a crisis for yourself. Some other myths in the book are all teachers treat their students the same and all children will
perform above average. Children come from all different backgrounds and start school in different places. There is no way that teachers can treat
every single student the same and ensure that they will all be above average. Overall the book was full of myths that shows what other people
think of teachers. In Moore article "Classroom Distinctions" and Rickets article "The Myth of the Hero Teacher," they talk about how you cannot
be a good teacher without being a hero. Moore says we need more hero's in our schools. He also talks about how good teachers are portrayed in
movies, while teachers in real life are not. Despite all of the myth about teachers, it is not impossible to become a teacher. Moore says it is a matter of
finding a teaching method that

Why I Want To Be A Teacher
I am studying Early Childhood Education to become an elementary school teacher. For as long as I remember, I have wanted to be a teacher. I
would say that my decision was influenced by the fact that I am the oldest of my siblings and cousins, so I've always been the leader and sort of in
charge. I am the only girl out of my cousins and brother, so they just accepted the guidance because I had the most attitude. Another reason that could
contribute to why I want to teach is my personality. I've always been the student to follow the rules and I've never been able to understand why some
of the other students did not. When my class had Fun Fridays in elementary school, instead of playing games with the rest of the class, I would ask the
teacher if I could run errands or help put our graded worksheets in the cubbies. I also read to the pre–k and kindergarten students while I was in fifth
grade. The school counselor was the one to give me the opportunity to read to them and many more things that has inspired me. Since it is mandatory
for all children to attend school, it is important for them to be safe and comfortable. I want to be a teacher that can make this possible for students.
Throughout my life, teachers have helped me with many challenges that I have faced, I know that I can make a positive difference in students' lives!

My Motivation For Being A Teacher Essay
My motivation for being a teacher comes from somewhere deep within my heart and soul. I love children. I love the look that comes across their
faces when they finally grasp a concept after they have been trying to truly understand it. I had a lot of teachers that made an impact on me and I
want to have the same impact on as many children as possible. My teachers installed a love of learning in me. There is no better profession than
teaching for those who want to learn. One is learning just as much from their students, if not more, than what they teach. Teaching is rewarding
and involves making the world a better place. That is my calling. To change the world, one person at a time, by showing love to each and every
person I meet. Weather it be one of my students or one of their parents, I want to be Christ's light just like my teachers were for me. I want to be the
support system that shows each and every one of my students that they can do anything they put their mind to. Not only can they shoot for the
stars, but they can shoot far beyond. After all, I was once just a kid from a small farm town that no one knows about. Now I've been on 4 mission
trips, I travel all around, and I moved half way across the country to chase my dreams. I am here because I was impacted by my high school history
teacher/ musical director, Mr. Wittig. He pushed me to chase my dreams and to follow my heart and not to let anything get in my way. I want to share

Why I Want To Become A Teacher
My philosophy paper talks about the motives I have for becoming a teacher, the roles/jobs of a teacher and students and my main goals I want to
achieve, The goals I want to achieve are making every student's parent's comfortable and proud when they come into my classroom and giving the
students the best education and I want them to want them to come to school and be engaged in the class.
My motivation for wanting to teach young children is that, I was inspired by my niece and nephew. I love working with little kids. They keep you
busy, and they entertain you. The younger children listen to you and follow directions possibly better than older kids. Another reason why I wanted
to teach is that I like helping little children learn new important information that they need to know. I was also inspired by my 3rd grade teacher Mrs.
Levine for the reason that, she was an awesome teacher that I had in Elementary School. She was not boring at all and she would read us interesting
books that would lead us to read them on our own time outside of school.
My personal beliefs on education is that, you can succeed at anything you put your mind too. I believe that if you put your mind to what you are
doing at that moment, and study hard, then you will be able to complete the task and succeed at what you are doing. Education is an important part of

Interview Questions From the Employer
Q1. Why do you want to be a teacher?
A1. There are couple reasons why I want to be a teacher. To begin with, my mother is a teacher, working in North China Electric Power University,
so since young I have learned a lot about universities and I have seen many benefits of being a teacher. For instance an university teacher would have a
more flexible schedule as well as summer vacations thus they can spend more time on their topic to do research, also with their children, bringing them
to see the world. Furthermore, school is a place that is idealized, without any darkness as in the actual society. This is the place where people can
pursue their academics quietly. Lastly, people can realize their value academically...show more content...
My original intention of studying abroad is to observe the superiority of education in Western countries, then come back to serve my motherland. In
addition, my family is in China and I cannot ask them to come with me to a foreign country after they are retired. I do not want them to feel
unacquainted and lonely.
Q9.What do you think is improvable in China's current education system?
A9. China's current education system is already great, but it could be better if students are driven by their thirst for knowledge, not the mark, approval.
Since starting from university there would not be teachers or parents pushing you anymore, students should actually demonstrate autonomous learning
ability and right learning habits during previous school years. Furthermore, our education system should consider more of practice and reality, as well
as students' physical and psychological health.
Q10. If we offered you this job, would you accept it?
A10. To be honest, I would be pretty glad if I am accepted but I would still discuss with peers and mentors to make the final decision. To explain,
Tsinghua University collects the top students and professors in China, thus it would be quite challenging and stressful. However, my answer till now
would still tend to "Yes" because I know that would be a great

Why Do I Want to Become a Teacher?
Are teachers important? When you think about teachers do you think that they get the same pay grade as doctors, lawyers, or politicians? No
teachers do not even come close, but does that mean that they are that less important? Teachers have the most challenging and important job in the

Teachers play a vital role in children's lives. Children go to school five to seven hours a day, 5 days a week, for approximately 12 years depending on
ages, which grade they start, and how fast they learn. Usually, teachers spend more time with children than their own parents do. I have always
been surrounded by children, whether it be by being a teaching assistant in children's church, or being a baby sitter, or going to help my mother at
her work on days when I got out early for exams. Some way or another I have always surrounded my life on helping children, sometimes by the
simple things like sticking their straw in their juice box at snack time, to playing CD's so that they can sing along and learn their ABC's. Even if I
only see the children at church one time a week for one hour, it fills my heart with such joy and strive to come back and teach them a new bible story
next Sunday. Teaching children at church helps me to better understand how important teacher's jobs are to this world. It is so important to me that
children have such a healthy lifestyle both physically and spiritually. The children that are growing up now are going to be the next generation, so it is
very important to teach them not only the four basic classes; English, Math, Science, and Social Studies, but they should also learn how to eat healthy
and exercise daily. There is still an ongoing problem with obesity in Americans, and

Why Did You Decide To Become A Teacher
1. Why did you decide to become a teacher?
There are a large number of teachers in my life, nearly all my aunts and a large part of my social circle are teachers, instructors, and professors, and
some of my role models happen to be teachers as well. While discussing my thoughts and feelings on what I should do for my second career, and
where I should do it, with my family and friends, I was asked, "why not teach?" I have a passion for working with people and genuinely care about
their success. One of my classmates told me that she thought I would excel at being a teacher since I have the ability to clearly and comprehensibly
explain concepts, how to complete assignments in a way that maximizes learning, and because she found my enthusiasm for our course topics
motivating. I am also an avid traveller; I have travelled through over 15 countries and have lived in two countries outside of Canada/North America. In
reflecting on what I should do next, and where I should do it, it seems that combining teaching and travelling into my next career phase is a natural next
step.
2. Why do you want to become a teacher?
I have dedicated my life to public service as an activist and social worker, and while I am transitioning into a second career, I do not want to stray
from my commitment to helping others. I find that teaching is another form of public service that I am drawn to, as it is a role that supports people in
reaching their goals.

Why I Become A Teacher Essay

  • 1. Why I Become A Teacher Essay In Education, I feel that each and every child should be considered as a unique individual. Children need secure, stimulating and caring atmospheres so that may grow maturely, intellectually, physically and socially. This is one of the main reasons I have chosen to become a teacher. Employers usually search for certain skills, qualities, talents in characteristics when looking for potential teachers and I feel that I possess many. I am a very organized individual; I have a lot of patience and experience in dealing with fast paced and stressful environments. I have a true passion for teaching and children, early childhood education allows me to channel back to my childhood and make children excited about education. I have a work ethic that does not quit and a strong willingness to reflect. With that being said, I have a true understanding of being able to ask myself why things went the way that they did, both on good days and bad days. The purpose of developing an educational philosophy is that it defines the purpose and focus of an educational institution. It typically becomes a part of the mission statement which defines which subject material is being taught. An institutional philosophy is also able to how subjects are taught and most importantly the values that are taught along with the subjects being covered. I feel that teaching beliefs are tied to teaching behaviors are very minimal and as the educator becomes more experienced they become less sensitive. My teaching Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. My Reasons For Becoming A Teacher Essay My reasons for choosing to become a teacher were nicely summed up by the quote cited in chapter 1, "...If you want to make a difference in the life of our nation, if you want to make a difference in the life of a child – become a teacher. Your country needs you." (President Obama, State of the Union, 1/25/11). Some of the reasons that I relate to are a desire to make a difference in students ' lives, a desire to serve, and excitement about the learning process. I want what I do professionally to have meaning, to leave a lasting impact on others. How better to leave a lasting impact than to teach children? Assisting children to learn seems to be a worthy endeavor. The impact a teacher has can be far–reaching as the students of today are the leaders and innovators of tomorrow. By teaching I am helping the community by assisting my students on their way to becoming contributing members of society. Not only am I interested in helping young minds grow, I am also interested in my own growth. The life of a teacher further appeals to me because it is a career choice that requires the professional to be an active learner themselves. 2.The breadth of knowledge and skills required for a teacher to perform their duties is daunting. Teachers are required to know about themselves, their students, the subject matter they are teaching, educational theories and current research, and the latest technology. Knowledge of just one area is not sufficient for being a teacher, they must Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. I have chosen to become a teacher because I believe that education is the center of a country's development process and prosperity. I want to be an educator to play an effective role in my society's revival. Besides, I have always dreamed to be a teacher; it is a passion, which I truly have since I was young. The strong teaching motivation, which I have is derived from the deep belief that teachers can make a big difference in their students' lives. In addition, I believe that teaching is a noble profession, which should be taken seriously. I know that being a teacher is never easy; it comes with high responsibilities and obstacles, but I am sure that I have suitable qualifications, which make me eligible to overcome them. Education as a basic concept in my perspective is all about developing knowledge, skills, values, ethics, physical and spiritual aspects,...show more content... I believe that curriculum should serve diversity of students because each student differs from the other. Since my philosophy aligns with essentialism, I believe that books are helping tools that offer basic knowledge to students, so I will encourage my students to expand the knowledge, which they have studied from the textbooks. As an English teacher I believe in the importance of reading and writing skills because they expand the vocabulary and writing style, which English language follows. I will focus on sustainable development of my students' intellectual abilities through discussion and critical thinking. In addition, I will ask them to read a story, which suits their level, each two weeks then I will ask them analytical questions related to the story. Definitely, visual aid tools such as presentation slides will be used in my classroom in order to facilitate the learning process among my Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Why I Want to Be a Teacher Essay When I was younger if you asked me what I want to be when I grow up becoming a teacher was the last thing on my list because I hated school and wasting my time learning things. I had a normal ghetto mindset that school wasn't for me and I didn't need it to be successful until I went into the sixth grade. I had a teacher that really showed me interest in my learning to make me a better individuals and a grandmother who never let me give up. From that year forwards but a few years later my grandmother past which was devastating me to the core just all of the lessons and the motivation for a time was drained right out me. Then on day my mother asked me "how would mama look at the way you're going in life". At that moment I told myself that...show more content... This is something that need to change because the only thing that it's doing is hurting our students. In the past 40 years we know what works as well as what doesn't work yet in still we are doing the doing the wrong things in the field of education which is creating dropout factories best describe in Waiting in Superman (2010). Dropout factories are high schools that have a 40 percent of their students dropping out to the streets while closing the door could set them free. In American we have over 2,002 in 2007 to 1,652 in 2009 to 1,424 in 2013. Yes, the gap is closing on the number of dropout factories but there's still too many that is destroying the future of our children and communities which isn't good. Other things wrong in the educations is that there are two unions made to defend the teachers when they are put teachers in a binding contract that doesn't allow them to make changes into the school system. The two teacher unions is are the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) and the National Education Association (NEA). These unions are so powerful that it's nearly impossible to get any change through to improve the learning environment in ways of getting new materials for the classroom or paying out of pocket to get new supplies for the class. An educator should never have to pay out of pocket for school supplies and that just one example of the problems with unions not funding schools the proper amount of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Why Do I Want to Become a Teacher? Essay Everyone has progressed to where they are in life because they had a teacher. A teacher is defined as someone who gives instruction and communicates skills. Our children are our future, and they need to be prepared for the future or they will not be successful in the working world. Teaching makes a difference in them, because it gives them tools to help them be successful in the future. I would like to tell you why I would like to become a special education teacher and what has led me to this decision and why I want to become a teacher. I have chosen to become a teacher because I myself am a product of someone whom I consider to be the best teacher in the world. As a child in Virginia, I was inspired by a wonderful coach and...show more content... Many people have stated that I am a very patient man. I come through my patience naturally through my mother, who was the most thoughtful, patient individual I have ever met. I've had the opportunity of working in the Davis County School District as a substitute teacher and as the swim coach at Bountiful High School. I have also spent many years coaching adolescents on a competitive swim team. My experiences have been very rewarding thus far and have inspired me to want to become a special education teacher through the ATP Program. I can't even begin to describe the joyous feeling of knowing that I've touched the lives of the kids–– it is truly priceless. When kids excel or simply say, "I get it," when kids come in and say, "Thanks" or even "You're the best coach I ever had," or "will we have you again" that means a lot. They make me laugh, they give me hugs, they are observant, and most of them just need a little push. They miss me when I'm gone, they try so hard to do what I ask so much of the time. The most amazing feeling of all though is when the kids tell me "they want to be just like me and become a teacher or coach when they grow up". I have finally discovered what I am truly passionate about and I am pursuing this passion by continuing my education so that I am able to fulfill my goal of being a special education teacher. My goal is to be the best teacher any student has had and will have throughout his/her schooling. I want to Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Why I Am A Teacher Essay INTRODUCTION I believe that because I have wanted to be a teacher since I was a little girl. Not only have I wanted becoming a teacher for many years, but also I have had many teachers in my past, good and bad, who have assisted me in realizing that teaching was the profession for me. I have started to work as a teacher assistant in a school for autistic children. Teaching is a challenging task. One shall perform his duty with the highest degree of excellence, professionalism, intelligence, skill, and with utmost devotion and dedication to ensure the quality of education. It is also the noblest profession. A teacher carries numerous responsibilities. Her task is not just simply delivering the lesson inside the four corners of the classroom but rather serves as the second parent of the students and therefore loves and cares for her students like her real children. As an educator, I strongly believe that nurturing and nourishing all students must be my utmost concern. I dream of students whose fullest potentials are developed to make them become responsible citizens. They must be properly taught to read, write and speak both English and a second language. They must use these languages as an avenue for self–improvement and community building. They must know how to process ideas, compute numbers, solve problems, apply concepts, and make decisions for themselves to make them empowered learners. They must be students who are always hungry for knowledge, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Why Do I Want To Be A Teacher Essay THE PERSONAL ESSAY CATAWBA COLLEGE | Salisbury, NC Essay Question: Imagine that you have all the money that you need to live comfortably and the skill set to work in or create any career you so desired. What would that career be? Why are you interested in it? If I had the ability to not worry about how much I bring home a week, and the ability to have any job in the world knowing my kids would get fed and they could get what they desire, I would be a teacher. Teaching isn't a bad job but I want more of a safe guard when it comes to money and my job. I don't know how much longer they plan to keep teachers around with technology growing. However I have always wanted to teach because of three major reasons. First would be that I would want to help our younger kids grow to be smarter than myself and my generation. Secondly I would like to help the students build their community, inside the classroom and outside in the real world. Lastly I also want to be involved in school sports. It would be a time consuming life however I believe it's worth the time and effort....show more content... One of these big things is unleashing the ultimate weapon, the community. Students are great for a few things, manual labor, complaining, and being smart when they want to be. I want to bring these three things together to make a project that would not only help the hungry but also would help the students learn how they can help people in the community and world. This project of mine would be making a school garden in which we would make meals and deliver those meals to the hungry. By doing this they learn how to do stuff as a community. This is essential in life because not one person can succeed in life while others fall. It doesn't matter what the goal is, someone is always being used to help in some way or form. Not only does it help build the community as a class or club, but it helps feed the hungry who can't be as Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Why I Should Be A Teacher There are many reasons why I want to be a teacher. I adore children and I think they have a great sense of humor. Teachers also have a job security and that is important because not all jobs have that. I feel like in order to be a teacher I need to have compassion for My students. As a teacher, I want to care for my students and show them appreciation. I want my students to succeed in what they want in life. According to Ferlazzo (2015), "Students work hardest for teachers they like and respect. When I am asked, "How do I get students to like and respect me?" my immediate response is, 'Like and respect them first.'" I believe this whole heartedly because I have always been taught to treat others the way I want to be treated. It would appease me to know that I have mentored someone into being an intellectual individual. I would like to teach the second grade because I enjoy the energy they give off and I value the foundations of elementary education. The philosophy of teaching that I have chosen is progressivism. According to Cohen (1999), "Progressivists believe that education should focus on the whole child, rather than on the content or the teacher. This educational philosophy stresses that students should test ideas by active experimentation. Learning is rooted in the questions of learners that arise through experiencing the world." The progressivism philosophy is known as a student–centered philosophy which focuses mainly on the student itself. I think what Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. Why I Want to be a Teacher Essay Why I Want to be a Teacher School is a major part of our young lives. It is where we spend the majority of our time as youngsters. Children begin to develop relationships with people who have not been apart of their infancy. For someone who does not enjoy school, this could put a damper on their relationships with others as well as their learning achievements in life. This is why I want to become a teacher. I want to develop a learning atmosphere where children feel joy and security. I believe that enjoying and feeling that one belongs is an important part of education. Yes, I used the word that makes some people shiver whenheard, education. Education is often viewed as an institution where children are...show more content... Children are with teachers the majority of the day. Children are influenced by what they see and why they are around. Not only are they teaching them academics, but also manners, sportsmanship, and self worth. These are important factors that children need in everyday life. This is why a teacher's job is so important. Most would say that teaching would be a hard job. But, I feel that it will be easy if you win your students over. I know that the rewards in the end will out weigh the cost. Watching a student master a new task is the reward I am after. I have always enjoyed school. I enjoy learning new topics as well as helping others understand those topics. I want to teach children to take an interest in school even if it is in only one subject area. By getting them interested I hope to give them the reason they need to get up every morning and put an effort into what they do. The more a student puts into school, the more they will get out of it. I have always wanted to be a parent. I am a newly wed and we plan to have children in the near future. I feel that I will be a great parent because I helped raise my two sisters so I have background with helping children and meeting their needs. As a future educator, I must convince students that I care. I plan to open new doors and introduce ideas that spark interest in their souls. In high school I was forced to pick a major my ninth grade

  • 11. Why Do I Want To Become A Teacher Why do I want to become a teacher, you ask? Well a teacher is a very important role model for many childrens and parents as well. You can either have a very positive or negative impact on the students. Growing up in an Asian household, teachers were well respected and was loved by parents, despite them being good or bad. To my parents teachers are always right, I grew up to believe otherwise. I want to become a teacher and be the teacher who will not disappoint my students. I want to plant a strong seed in my students, so they can grow and expand from it. I want to teach because I want to educate students of Basic Skills, to support the students in and outside of school with the needs to be successful, I also want to see diversity in the educational field. Everything...show more content... I can't joke or share what I'm struggling with. The fact that they can discipline students by hitting us with their hand or stick really distance the relationship between the two. Being in America teachers show more affection and support. They help when needed and I can have one on one conversation with them. With some of the teachers here we can joke about life and anything at an appropriate level. I really connect with this type of teachers. So my experiences in their classroom really inspire me to become a teacher who care for their students, and build a connection where the students is comfortable to share anything with me. I want to be an educator who is devoted into my students academic and struggles they are facing and needed help with. I want to be a teacher they can rely on as a staff member and as a friend. I also want to practice and put Delpit's lesson into my teaching. My students to be the center of the class. • 12. Why I Want to Be a Teacher "Why I Want to Be a Teacher" First of all, I love kids and it has always been my dream and passion to become an educator. For most people, the word teacher is defined as someone who is responsible for informing or teaching someone something. But not everyone would have the same meaning or image for a teacher. Teachers have a very important role of shaping the lives of young children and preparing them to become productive citizens in our community and with these types of responsibilities teachers can attain great pride and joy. Therefore, I believe that all teachers should strive for what can be considered to be a "good teacher." • 13. Why I Would Be A Good Teaching Assistant The reason I think I would be a good teaching assistant is because I have the fundamental of helping out the lead teacher. Recently I had to write a essay on why I wanted to be a teacher. So down below is my essay on why I want to become a teacher. The reason why I want to teach is because of the essential and noble profession. Next to parents, I think teacher are important foundational element in our society. Being a teacher would show me the value, knowledge, and character to be a figure for children to look up to. The important thing is the proper preparation and the fundamental to living a full and rewarding life. A teacher is defined as someone who gives instruction and communicates skills. Teachers enhance the lives of our young children by using their teaching methods to deliver valuable information, which will serve the purpose throughout their lives. One of my favorite memories as a high or middle school student was that I looked up to my teachers. I was so excited the first time I went to volunteer in a fourth grade class. I wanted to be a teacher for many reasons, but I think the biggest reason of all is my love for children in general. After volunteering in a elementary classroom, I got to move up and sit in a middle school classroom that consist of 6–8th graders who has Autism Spectrum Disorder. Each of those students have a different levels of disabilities. Working with autistic children opened my mind to different opportunity to learn. When I started Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. Why Do You Want To Be A Teacher? "Why do you want to be a teacher?" is one of the most common questions asked to a teacher. Some myths about teaching are teachers are heroes, the pay is bad, students are brats, and you cannot just leave your classroom to use the bathroom. Not everything you hear or see on television about teaching is true. There may be times where you want to pull your hair out due to student behavior or wish you made more money, but the job is not about that. Teaching is about loving children and wanting to educate them so they can in return help us in the future by being doctors, lawyers, etc... Therefore, teachers get the wrong impression, because they are either looked at as being the hero in someone's life or not knowing anything about their job. Also, you cannot really understand teaching until you are actually in a classroom experiencing it for yourself. School may teach you basic skills and situations that you may encounter, but it is not real until you actually experience a crisis for yourself. Some other myths in the book are all teachers treat their students the same and all children will perform above average. Children come from all different backgrounds and start school in different places. There is no way that teachers can treat every single student the same and ensure that they will all be above average. Overall the book was full of myths that shows what other people think of teachers. In Moore article "Classroom Distinctions" and Rickets article "The Myth of the Hero Teacher," they talk about how you cannot be a good teacher without being a hero. Moore says we need more hero's in our schools. He also talks about how good teachers are portrayed in movies, while teachers in real life are not. Despite all of the myth about teachers, it is not impossible to become a teacher. Moore says it is a matter of finding a teaching method that Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. Why I Want To Be A Teacher I am studying Early Childhood Education to become an elementary school teacher. For as long as I remember, I have wanted to be a teacher. I would say that my decision was influenced by the fact that I am the oldest of my siblings and cousins, so I've always been the leader and sort of in charge. I am the only girl out of my cousins and brother, so they just accepted the guidance because I had the most attitude. Another reason that could contribute to why I want to teach is my personality. I've always been the student to follow the rules and I've never been able to understand why some of the other students did not. When my class had Fun Fridays in elementary school, instead of playing games with the rest of the class, I would ask the teacher if I could run errands or help put our graded worksheets in the cubbies. I also read to the pre–k and kindergarten students while I was in fifth grade. The school counselor was the one to give me the opportunity to read to them and many more things that has inspired me. Since it is mandatory for all children to attend school, it is important for them to be safe and comfortable. I want to be a teacher that can make this possible for students. Throughout my life, teachers have helped me with many challenges that I have faced, I know that I can make a positive difference in students' lives! • 16. My Motivation For Being A Teacher Essay My motivation for being a teacher comes from somewhere deep within my heart and soul. I love children. I love the look that comes across their faces when they finally grasp a concept after they have been trying to truly understand it. I had a lot of teachers that made an impact on me and I want to have the same impact on as many children as possible. My teachers installed a love of learning in me. There is no better profession than teaching for those who want to learn. One is learning just as much from their students, if not more, than what they teach. Teaching is rewarding and involves making the world a better place. That is my calling. To change the world, one person at a time, by showing love to each and every person I meet. Weather it be one of my students or one of their parents, I want to be Christ's light just like my teachers were for me. I want to be the support system that shows each and every one of my students that they can do anything they put their mind to. Not only can they shoot for the stars, but they can shoot far beyond. After all, I was once just a kid from a small farm town that no one knows about. Now I've been on 4 mission trips, I travel all around, and I moved half way across the country to chase my dreams. I am here because I was impacted by my high school history teacher/ musical director, Mr. Wittig. He pushed me to chase my dreams and to follow my heart and not to let anything get in my way. I want to share what I have with every child I can, Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Why I Want To Become A Teacher My philosophy paper talks about the motives I have for becoming a teacher, the roles/jobs of a teacher and students and my main goals I want to achieve, The goals I want to achieve are making every student's parent's comfortable and proud when they come into my classroom and giving the students the best education and I want them to want them to come to school and be engaged in the class. My motivation for wanting to teach young children is that, I was inspired by my niece and nephew. I love working with little kids. They keep you busy, and they entertain you. The younger children listen to you and follow directions possibly better than older kids. Another reason why I wanted to teach is that I like helping little children learn new important information that they need to know. I was also inspired by my 3rd grade teacher Mrs. Levine for the reason that, she was an awesome teacher that I had in Elementary School. She was not boring at all and she would read us interesting books that would lead us to read them on our own time outside of school. My personal beliefs on education is that, you can succeed at anything you put your mind too. I believe that if you put your mind to what you are doing at that moment, and study hard, then you will be able to complete the task and succeed at what you are doing. • 18. Why Do You Want To Be A Teacher Essay Interview Questions From the Employer Q1. Why do you want to be a teacher? A1. There are couple reasons why I want to be a teacher. To begin with, my mother is a teacher, working in North China Electric Power University, so since young I have learned a lot about universities and I have seen many benefits of being a teacher. For instance an university teacher would have a more flexible schedule as well as summer vacations thus they can spend more time on their topic to do research, also with their children, bringing them to see the world. Furthermore, school is a place that is idealized, without any darkness as in the actual society. This is the place where people can pursue their academics quietly. Lastly, people can realize their value academically...show more content... My original intention of studying abroad is to observe the superiority of education in Western countries, then come back to serve my motherland. In addition, my family is in China and I cannot ask them to come with me to a foreign country after they are retired. I do not want them to feel unacquainted and lonely. Q9.What do you think is improvable in China's current education system? A9. China's current education system is already great, but it could be better if students are driven by their thirst for knowledge, not the mark, approval. Since starting from university there would not be teachers or parents pushing you anymore, students should actually demonstrate autonomous learning ability and right learning habits during previous school years. Furthermore, our education system should consider more of practice and reality, as well as students' physical and psychological health. Q10. If we offered you this job, would you accept it? A10. To be honest, I would be pretty glad if I am accepted but I would still discuss with peers and mentors to make the final decision. To explain, Tsinghua University collects the top students and professors in China, thus it would be quite challenging and stressful. However, my answer till now would still tend to "Yes" because I know that would be a great Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. Why I Should Become A Teacher Why Do I Want to Become a Teacher? Are teachers important? When you think about teachers do you think that they get the same pay grade as doctors, lawyers, or politicians? No teachers do not even come close, but does that mean that they are that less important? Teachers have the most challenging and important job in the world. Teachers have a very difficult job but in the end, it is rewarding. Teachers get to see children develop into bright leaders, and know in their hearts that they helped shaped that child into who he/she is today, and not every profession can say that. Teachers play a vital role in children's lives. Children go to school five to seven hours a day, 5 days a week, for approximately 12 years depending on ages, which grade they start, and how fast they learn. Usually, teachers spend more time with children than their own parents do. I have always been surrounded by children, whether it be by being a teaching assistant in children's church, or being a baby sitter, or going to help my mother at her work on days when I got out early for exams. Some way or another I have always surrounded my life on helping children, sometimes by the simple things like sticking their straw in their juice box at snack time, to playing CD's so that they can sing along and learn their ABC's. Even if I only see the children at church one time a week for one hour, it fills my heart with such joy and strive to come back and teach them a new bible story next Sunday. Teaching children at church helps me to better understand how important teacher's jobs are to this world. It is so important to me that children have such a healthy lifestyle both physically and spiritually. The children that are growing up now are going to be the next generation, so it is very important to teach them not only the four basic classes; English, Math, Science, and Social Studies, but they should also learn how to eat healthy and exercise daily. There is still an ongoing problem with obesity in Americans, and Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 20. Why Did You Decide To Become A Teacher 1. Why did you decide to become a teacher? There are a large number of teachers in my life, nearly all my aunts and a large part of my social circle are teachers, instructors, and professors, and some of my role models happen to be teachers as well. While discussing my thoughts and feelings on what I should do for my second career, and where I should do it, with my family and friends, I was asked, "why not teach?" I have a passion for working with people and genuinely care about their success. One of my classmates told me that she thought I would excel at being a teacher since I have the ability to clearly and comprehensibly explain concepts, how to complete assignments in a way that maximizes learning, and because she found my enthusiasm for our course topics motivating. I am also an avid traveller; I have travelled through over 15 countries and have lived in two countries outside of Canada/North America. In reflecting on what I should do next, and where I should do it, it seems that combining teaching and travelling into my next career phase is a natural next step. 2. Why do you want to become a teacher? I have dedicated my life to public service as an activist and social worker, and while I am transitioning into a second career, I do not want to stray from my commitment to helping others. I find that teaching is another form of public service that I am drawn to, as it is a role that supports people in reaching their goals. 3.
