The present study is to evaluate the joint moments by Kani’s method & Beams, Columns & Footing
design are done manually by using IS:456:2000 and SP:16, and also consider the live load reduction
factor.
Title: “Effect of Foundation Flexibility on Dynamic Behaviour of Asymmetric
Building Frame with Isolated Footing”
Present study is an effort to evaluate the effect of soil flexibility on dynamic characteristics of building
frames resting on isolated footing resting on soil idealized using continuum model, namely the Lateral
natural period, Seismic base shear and Max Lateral displacement. Influence due to variation of number
of parameters such as soil types, number of storey, ratio between adjacent spans ratios (SR) and base
storey to upper storey height ratios (HR) of single and two bay three dimensional building structures of
6,8 & 10 storey are studied. The study also extends to find the effect of soil-flexibility on important
structural characteristics namely, Axial forces in the base storey column and Bending moment in
selected Beams. of stories and number of bays,
