Spirit of Manufacturing : A joint Initiative
 'Spirit of Manufacturing' , a joint initiative of TiE and Power2SME is an annual awards
series that aims to encourage and showcase start-up entrepreneurs in the
manufacturing domain.
 This initiative is focused on encouraging and applauding innovative and
implementable business solutions that operate in the manufacturing domain.

Why Spirit of Manufacturing Awards?
 To applaud and acknowledge innovation in the manufacturing sector.
 To highlight the importance of the manufacturing sector and the need of innovation
in this space.
 Empowering the future of manufacturing sector.

Selection Procedure
 The Award will invite nominations from companies in the manufacturing space (less
than 5 years of operation).
 The companies would be required to highlight the innovation in their organization
and how it has helped the company to carve a differentiated positioning.
 The applications undergo two rounds of robust evaluation leading to the declaration
of the finalists.
 This evaluation will be conducted by a renowned Jury, comprising of experts and
industry veterans.

Medium Enterprises
Shri Madhav Lal is a career civil servant and joined the
Indian Administrative Service in the year 1977. Over the
last thirty-six years, he has held various senior
assignments with the Government of India, the State
Government of Jammu & Kashmir and with the United
Nations.
Concurrent to his current assignment as Secretary,
MSME, Shri Lal is a Director on the Board of the
National Skill Development Corporation. He is also
chairing an inter-ministerial group of secretaries in the
Government of India that is looking into the issues of
enhancing manufacturing capacities in the MSME
sector.

the innovation and entrepreneurial acumen among a
wide section of Indian entrepreneurs ranging from
simple rural industries to high end technological
enterprises

Sunil Kant Munjal,
Senior Member of the Hero
Group
Sunil Kant Munjal is a senior member of the Hero Group
and is responsible for developing growth strategy and
implementation of new business plans for the Group. He
was selected by 'India Today' – India's largest English
newsmagazine, as one of the "Faces of the Millennium"
for business. He has received GlobScot Award from the
Scottish Government in Sept., 2012.

Ashish Gupta is Evalueserve’s COO and Global
Business Unit Head, Financial Services. Prior to
Evalueserve, Ashish spent five years at McKinsey

Engineering from the Indian Institute of
Technology (IIT), Delhi, and an MBA from
Carnegie Mellon University, Pennsylvania

powered sales enabling services company, prior
