1. Latest Release of CRS Score
The new CRS draw released by IRCC, Canada on 15th October 2018 issued 3,900
ITA’s to express entry candidates with the score of 440 or above aspiring to apply
for permanent residence in Canada.
Latest invitation round was the third draw in three weeks marking a return to
3,900 Invitations to Apply, for three main federal economic immigration
categories — the Federal Skilled Worker Class, the Federal Skilled Trades Class,
and the Canadian Experience Class.
The comprehensive ranking system under Express Entry Program grants points
based on factors of Age, Work Experience, Educational Qualification Language
Ability, and Adaptability.
IRCC has issued a total of 66,400 ITAs over 21 draws till date in the year 2018.
If we go with Multi-Year Immigration Level Plans, the target of the number of
admissions for the year 2018 is 74,900 that means 8,500 admissions are still left
for this year, however the target for the year 2019 is 81,400 that is 6,500
admissions higher in comparison with the year 2018. This indicates a better
chance for aspiring applicants to fulfill their dream of relocating to Canada
through the Federal Skilled Worker Class, the Federal Skilled Trades Class, and the
Canadian Experience Class.
“The return to 3,900 ITAs in this invitation round is a welcome development,” said
David Cohen, senior partner with the Campbell Cohen Canadian immigration law
firm in Montreal. “If the Government of Canada maintains this number of ITAs in
subsequent draws, 2018 could surpass the number of ITAs issued last year.”
