Tournament Format
MAXIMUM OF THREE TEAMS ENTERED FROM ANY SCHOOL
LIMIT OF 36 TOTAL TEAMS
Qualifying—All teams bowl 3 regular team games and 4 Baker Doubles games, moving pairs. Each bowler
must bowl 2 of the 10th frames in the Baker Games.
Leading qualifying automatically seeded to the finals. 2nd to 7th place teams advance to semifinals.
Semifinals—Teams seeded by qualifying position (2 vs. 7, 3 vs. 6, 4 vs. 5).
Best of 5 game match—A girl MUST bowl the 10th frame of the 1st & 3rd match games
Finals—Top seed vs. lowest remaining seed bowl opening match, other two finalists bowl the second match,
both consisting of one Baker Game.
Winners advance to championship match, bowl one Baker Game to decide title.

2. 2019-20 High School Mixed Doubles Championship Rules
1. This event will not be USBC or WI HSBC certified, but unless stated otherwise in the rules, all USBC playing rules
and standard Baker Format rules will apply during this tournament
2. Limit Three doubles teams per school/co-op. All teams must consist of one male and one female
bowler that would be eligible to compete for the same school/co-op during their regular WI HSBC District
competition. Proof of eligibility should be brought to check-in, or from a printed team roster from the HSBC
website.
3. Normal HSBC Dress Code Rules (matching jerseys, no jeans, etc.) is in effect. All bowlers MUST wear a school
competition shirt/jersey while bowling—they do not have to exactly match (i.e., boys and girls have separate style
jerseys), but must be a jersey the bowler could wear during HSBC competition. Requests for dress code exceptions
(uniforms not in from printers, etc.) MUST be made to tournament director prior to start of the event.
4. Entries close 12/24/19, unless the tournament reaches 36 paid entries. If tournament fills prior to 12/24/19,
teams will be placed on a waiting list.
5. Entry fee is $50/team. All fees are for bowling, tournament, award and livestream production expenses. Any
merchandise prizes are provided by sponsor agreement, and are in FULL COMPLIANCE with USBC Rule 400.
6. Tournament Format – All competition is scratch. Qualifying will be 3 regular games and four Baker
Doubles games. Baker games will be bowled on a pair of lanes, one bowler rolling the odd frames, the
other bowler rolling the even frames. EACH BOWLER MUST BOWL TWO of the 10th Frames in
the Baker Doubles. Bowlers will move pairs after each regular game, and after 2 Baker Doubles games.
The team leading the qualifying round will automatically advance to the TV finals.
Teams qualifying 2nd thru 7th will advance to the semifinals. Any tie for the 1st or 7th qualifying spot
broken by a single Baker Doubles game, with a 9th & 10th frame rolloff if that match is tied. Any ties for
2nd through 6th place will be broken by the highest qualifying Baker Game, if that high Baker game is a t
ie, then use the 2nd high Baker Game to break tie, etc., until tie is broken.
Semifinals - Semifinal teams seeded by position for their matches —2nd vs. 7th, 3rd vs. 6th,
4th vs. 5th. Team that is the higher seed will have starting lane choice on the pair & starting lane
choice for Game 5 (if necessary). Teams will bowl one Baker Doubles game on a pair of lanes.
The girl on the team MUST bowl the 10th frame of the 1st and 3rd games of each
match. Best of five game match—tie games broken by team two-ball rolloff. Match winners
advance to the TV finals.
Livestream Finals – All matches on the livestream will be one Game Baker matches bowled by a
team on a pair of lanes, higher seed in each match having lane choice. Leading qualifier vs. lowest
remaining seed in the 1st match, two other semifinal winners in the 2nd match. Match winners
advance to the final match. If a tie match, a 9th-10th frame Baker rolloff until no longer tied.
NO COACHING IN THE SETTEE AREA DURING ANY ROUND— coaches and/or parents may
assist their players from in the spectator area.
