2. 2021 Big Bowling Big Bracket Battle Rules
1. This tournament will be NOT be USBC certified, however unless otherwise stated in the rules, all USBC playing
rules & USBC Youth rules will apply during the tournament. Any rules not covered by these published rules will
be decided by the tournament director, who will make the final decision in a situation.
2. TOTD Surface Change Rule—a bowler may make ANY adjustment they wish to the surface to a bowl-
ing ball at the completion of a match, before the 1st ball of their next match.
3. Entry Fee is $30 per bowler—Entry covers all tournament expenses, including lineage & livestream-
ing costs. All entry fees can be paid by PayPal or Zelle.in advance of the event—Onsite payment
MUST be approved in advance by the Tournament Director.
4. ALL PRIZES, INCLUDING VISA GIFT CARDS, are fully within USBC Rule 400 Youth Eligibility requirements &
are provided by tournament sponsors. All prizes at the qualifying level will be awarded at the conclusion of the
qualifier; All finalist prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of the finals; unless delivery of an awarded prize
needs to come directly from the sponsor/manufacturer; bowlers will be alerted to this situation prior to the start
of the qualifier or finals. Prizes awarded on a 1 in 4 minimum at all levels of the event.
5. All competition is scratch. All bowlers who were part of a WIHSBC bowling program in the 2020-21
season with at least a 75% (Boys) or 70% (Girls) Fill Rate are eligible to bowl.
6. Format for qualifiers—Bowlers will be randomly drawn into a 16 (boys) or 8 (girls) bowler bracket. Round of
16 and 8 matches in both divisions will be two-game, total pin matches. Round of 4 and 2 matches will be a one-
game match. Ties in any round will be broken by a 9-10th frame rolloff; if still tied, then a single ball rolloff until
the tie is broken. Each qualifiers boys and girls bracket winner will advance to the finals. If 16 boys or 8 girls do
not enter a qualifier, the first round of competition will be a two-game eliminator round to get the field to 8 boys
or 4 girls to seed into a bracket.
7. Format for finals—the four qualifier winners in each of the boys and girls divisions will be joined by one
Sponsor’s Advancer from the Winning Strategies Clinic on May 23. Those five bowlers in each division will bowl
one game; the lowest score in each division will be eliminated. The four remaining bowlers in each division will
be seeded into a bracket by their first game finals score (1 vs. 4, 2 vs. 3), to bowl one game matches until a
champion is determined; rules for ties same as qualifiers.
8. DRESS CODE FOR EVENT - High School Team Jerseys are preferred, but not required. NO hats or
other headgear, NO t-shirts ("mock turtleneck" collared bowling shirts with bowling logos are accepta-
ble), and NO jeans/denim, sweatpants, "athletic wear". SHORTS/”SKORTS” ARE ALLOWED for
girls—must be khaki or dress shorts no shorter than 3-4 inches above the knee.
9. Participants, and/or their parents or guardian, if the participant is under 18 years of age, agree that Ten On The Deck Pro-
ductions, its Tournament Committee, livestreaming crew, and/or host bowling establishments shall not be held legally liable
for any bodily injury, property damage or property loss sustained as a participant and/or spectator in any Ten On The Deck
Productions event upon payment of their or their child's entry fee.
