3.  In the affluent Surburb of Sandton Johannesburg, we
witness a dramatic entrance into the world…, baby Jewls is
born.
 Immediately after being born, a strange and powerful
force ties her tiny soul to that of a five-year-old boy
Michael, whose best friend is the girl’s brother. Raised
as an only daughter to a very affluent family in
Sandton, Johannesburg, Jewls is spoilt the moment she
enters the world and is treated like a little princess by
her family and loved ones. As she grows older, she
becomes even more attached to Michael, becoming one
another’s confidantes and biggest supporters through
life, protecting each other from any and everything.

4.  Now having blossomed into a young, astute woman,
Jewls sets out to become a brilliant young attorney,
earning her Master’s degree through a US university.
Having never anticipated falling for a guy the very first
day she set foot at the US university, she was taken
aback by the intensity and strength of her own feelings
and of the love that awakened within her soul. It
appeared as if the stars and planets had suddenly
aligned to bring that particular suitor into her life.
 Knowing deep in her heart that she desired to be with
another man and possibly belonged with him, an
avalanche of feelings characterize her stay in the US,
leaving her wracked with conflict.

5.  Two extremely potent forces are at play puling in opposite
directions, threatening to overwhelm her as she battles
constantly with her feelings. On the one hand, her soul is
tied to her American lover from the moment he deflowers
her and on the other hand, a strange and compelling force
keeps drawing Jewls back to the kindred spirit of Michael
back home.
 Will she choose to remain in the US with her new love, or
will she make a difficult choice and leave him? Whatever
happens, hearts will be broken and Jewls is about to find out
that the price of happiness can come at a heavy cost. This is
a story about the conflict of the human soul and although
the heart wants what the heart wants, letting go is never
easy, particularly for the one left behind. The ramifications
of broken promises and lost love will be felt forever.

8. WHO IS PERTUNIA LEHOKA?

9. Pertunia Lehoka is a Business Strategy and Marketing Strategy
Graduate, with ample experience in International Trade Mark Filings as
well as International Trade Consulting. She is a Business Woman, an
Adult Educator, an Inspirational Speaker, a Relationship Coach and an
Author. She is married and is a mother of two adult children, based in
Pretoria, South Africa. Being a devotee of the spoken and written
words, she participated in a lot of debates in high school, winning a
number of speaking competitions.
Her love for business saw her leaving formal employment, establishing
her first business, selling high end merchandise and later opened an
International Trade Consultancy and a Marketing and Reputation
Management Agency, the latter being her newest addition. She also
assists her husband in his Law Firm as a part time Chief Operations
Officer and runs a very tight ship in spite of her hectic schedule. She
always say that, “if there is a gadget out there that can help me perform
my jobs with ease, I get it.”

10. Being a coach, Pertunia’s mission is to leverage most of her real
life experiences to help everyone navigate this life journey, in
order to reach their full potential, while working on self-
improvement techniques which she normally provides in her talks
and writings. She always provides tools that her audience will
utilize long after her talks are over or after having read her
materials.
Her delivery style is that of scenarios, as well as parables and a
number of personal stories. Her aim is to ensure that her audience
can easily identify with the message, connect with it and
understand it, thereby able to apply it into their lives. Pertunia
strongly believes that if people maintain that they need motivation
or inspiration, they have already motivated themselves and all she
needs to do, is to provide tools that people might not be aware
they have at their disposal. She shows clients, resources that are
already inside of them and/or around them.

11. Her desire is to aid others in finding their passion, purpose and gifts and
exposing them to the world for good and not just to live life surviving,
but to live life thriving and striving to leave a positive legacy. She would
like people to remember that their lives affect others and the imprints they
leave on others have to be good as they leave lasting effects.
She published her debut novel entitled “Providence – Mystery of the Soul
Ties” in 2016, followed by “Heart & Soul” which is non-fiction,
published in 2018. She is currently working on the sequel to Providence,
as well as 2 more titles which are currently in the WIP stage. Being an
all-rounder, Pertunia has conceptualised twelve more titles, some of
which include business and sales books, leveraged from her personal and
business experiences.
Pertunia is always writing something, irrespective of whether she would
be dealing with business or the business of writing. She always says even
if she is not writing, she is always thinking about writing, plotting ideas
and stories in her head for her next novels.
