Persuasive Essay On After School Programs
After school, from 3 to 6 p.m, is a critical period of time in a child's life. After school programs help keep kids safe and inspire them to learn during
that period of time. After school programs are organized programs that youth can participate in outside of a traditional school day. Enrolling children in
afterschool programs would provide them with benefits that unenrolled children would not receive, such as reduce risky behavior and promote physical
health. After school programs provide a safe environment for children, while positively impacting their academics, safety, and their future. Generally,
after school programs are ran by schools, faith–based, or community–based nonprofit organizations. Most programs are held directly after school, but
can also be held on weekends, over breaks or vacations, or on evenings. It is important to define what the purpose of the program is going to be,
whether it be academics, sports, special interests, or cultural activities. Some other key factors of an after school program are high levels of children
involvement, a mix of academic and non academic skill building activities, and positive relationships between staff and children. Successful programs
have dedicated staff and structured routines for the children. When after school programs are ran successfully, the children involved will receive
positive benefits and skills they will be able to use to better their future. In communities today, 11.3 million children take care of

Thesis Statement On Water Scarcity
Rough Draft
Thesis statement: The world is on its way for a water shortage. Water is considered as an essential for human existence. We all can survive without
food for some day but no one can live without water at least two days. Human body consists of 70% percent of water and our globe is covered by
69.9% percent of water. But unfortunately the useable fresh water is just 2.5% out of it. Water is a social good, water is an economic good, water has
ecological value and water has religious, moral and cultural value.
If there is magic on this planet, it is contained in water – Loren Eisely, The Immense Journey Water scarcity is a consequence of imbalances between

Thesis Statement On Homeschooling Students
Thesis Statement:Students should not be homeschooled because they do not take standardized tests and do not have certain support systems that
public schools have.
Body Paragraph #1
Topic Sentence: Homeschooling children does not have certain requirements that are necessary in thepublic school district.
Supporting Evidence #1: In the article it say, "Public school students are tested and graded to ensure that they understand the subject matter. For
homeschooled students, however, there are no required subjects and the statute simply speaks in terms of instruction" (Richardson,2013).
Explanation: Homeschooled students should be required to take the subjects just like public schools do. They need to be tested at all times to make
sure they understand what you are teaching them,...show more content...
So we can know our children are getting the proper curriculum. Homeschooled students should know the same thing as our public schools children do.
Also, we need to know how the child works and if they have any progress in all the subjects that the teacher teaches. The teachers can not know how
the child is doing, if there are no tests to show it.
Supporting Evidence #2: But there's more; statics also say, "We need the conversation to change, Coleman said. We're not denying that there are plenty
of abusers in public schools, but we have a system in place to help them. That's something homeschoolers don't have" (Stafford,2015).
Explanation: There is never a time when people go through the hardest times in life. Or want someone to talk to. Public schools provide help for that.
They have counselors for students to talk to. They have programs for students to express their feelings and help them come out there shell. But as for
homeschooling, they do not have systems for that. Homeschooling does not provide counseling for their

Topic: Organ Donation
Specific Purpose: To persuade my audience to donate their organs and tissues when they die and to act upon their decision to donate.
Thesis Statement: The need is constantly growing for organ donors and it is very simple to be an organ donor when you die.
I. INTRODUCTION
A. Attention material/Credibility Material: How do you feel when you have to wait for something you really, really want? What if it was something
you couldn't live without? Well, my cousin was five years old when he found out he needed a new kidney. He went on the organ waiting list right
away. He was called twice during a six month span that they had a kidney available only to...show more content...
2) The reason is that there are only on the average 6,000 donors nationally per year (Life Source: Statistics).
c. You can choose to donate any needed organs or you can specify which organs or tissues you wish to donate.
2. Organ donation is very important.
a. The following poem by Robert Test entitled, "To Remember Me," shows the importance of organ donation.
"Give my sight to the man who has never seen a sunrise, a baby's face or love in the eyes of a woman. Give my heart to a person whose heart has
caused nothing but endless days of pain... Take my bones, every muscle, every fiber and nerve in my body and find a way to make a crippled child
walk...Take my cells, if necessary, and let them grow so that, someday, a speechless boy will shout at the crack of a bat and a deaf girl will hear the
sound of rain against her window
b. Not only is this a problem nationally but also it is a big problem right here at home in Colorado.
1) Nationally, there are over 120,000 people waiting as of November 1, 2011. As of November 7, 2011, there are 1,142 people from Colorado that are
on the organ waiting list (Life Source: Statistics).
2) The sad part is that there have only been 137 donors in Colorado so far from January 2011 through November 2011 (Life Source: Newsnotes).
[Transition: I'm sure that you can see the need for people like you to donate your organs. But you might be asking, well, how can I make sure my
organs are donated after I die? Let me tell you.]

Thesis Statement For Argumentative Essay On Zoos
1. Introduction to Research Essay & Thesis Statement:
Since their very beginnings, zoo's around the world have been at the forefront of ethical debates. Animal ethicists, animal liberationists and proponents
of the land ethic raise considerable questions about the nature of zoos in a moral and ethical context. Drawing on animal rights claims, the questionable
moral status of animals and the land ethic, this essay seeks to argue that zoo's; a place in which wild animal's are held in captivity, are inherently
unethical. Though animal liberationists tend to include domesticated animals and agriculturally farmed animals, the scope of this essay will focus
solely on the ethics of zoo's and those animals within. Citing experts in the animal ethics...show more content...
Fox, Michael Allen Fox, Dita Wickens Drazilova,
Argument/ Premise 2: As a result of their rights and claim to a moral status, there is an ethical standard in which humans must treat animals.
– Zoo's take on the duty to honor animal rights given that they have taken responsibility for the animal. This means that zoo's must work to avoid pain
and seek to bring the animals pleasure. An "informed empathy" (having a reverence for all life) is the basis for our ethical standard in how we treat
animals. Going against this ethical basis in zoo's is only acceptable when there is a threat to human life. Callicott will be brought in here yet again, to
discuss how we have a duty of care for animals and that zoo animals are our creations, so we must treat them ethically.
Supported by: J Baird Callicott, Michael W. Fox, Tom Regan
Argument/ Premise 3: The Land Ethic assumes that we must treat animals with the same morality as humans, given that they are part of the collective
"land" and we owe it integrity. We must preserve the integrity and stability of "the land" (animals included) and thus animals deserve to continue living
in their natural state. In this, I will discuss how zoo's involve humans as the "conqueror's" and this is unethical– we must live in ethical holism. Zoo's
directly violate this land

Thesis Statement For Teen Suicide
Research Question:
How can teen suicide be prevented?
Thesis Statement:
Even though teen suicide is one of the leading causes of deaths in teenagers, there are many ways it can be prevented.
Summary of Topic:
Suicide is the third leading cause of deaths in adolescents in the United States. Teensuicide is also often referred to as a permanent solution to a
temporary problem. Teens so often are suicidal and attempt suicide as a call for help from others. They have no intention in dying they are just trying
to cry out for help from anyone that will listen. Many reasons cause teen to attempt suicide, varying from bullying to psychological disorders. In fact,
psychological disorders accounts for about 90% of teens who attempt or commit suicide. Teenagers are also at higher risk of suicide when they are

Teen suicide is something that is endless, it will never stop but if everyone was educated on it, it could help prevent deaths. I think with people
provided with statistics and further information can help avoid adolescent suicide attempts. I think most teen suicide cases could be prevent if we
knew the signs to look for and the ways to stop it. I believe parents would feel safer if they knew knowledge on the issue and how to handle it. The
intended audiences for this essay is parents or friends of suicidal teens. This essay is important because, as mentioned earlier, we need to be educated
on suicide to end tons of tragedies. It is also important to be aware of the warning signs to help prevent. This essay is relevant because teen suicide is
a war that happens daily, and will continue to happen, until we take control of the situation and do something to stop it. If family members were
informed of the cause and symptoms leading up to the attempt of suicide, then there is less likely that teenagers would try and commit

I. Introduction
Attention material/Credibility: No we're not hungry, no we're not worried. We're just living life right now. Tomorrow? What is Tomorrow? If we for
a second, glimpse into the future, we would see people suffering from the thoughtless decisions we are making right now. I don 't want to see my

surface of the land to warm up. b. The burning

Persuasive Essay On Self Esteem
Although self–esteem is something everyone has, it can sometimes be difficult to realize your worth. There are many tools that can raise your
awareness of your self–esteem, and journaling is just one of them. Not only can journaling raise your self–esteem, but it can improve your overall
physical and mental health (ref #5). On the surface, journaling is a relatively simple concept. You find a bound book you like, maybe something with a
nice picture on the front, and either line or unlined paper on the inside, whichever you prefer. Then get a qualitywriting pen and start putting words on
paper. While it seems simple enough sometimes people, especially those with low self–esteem, can turn journaling into a self–deprecating exercise, or
they may have trouble moving the thoughts in their head to the page in their hands. In any event, there are a few simple guidelines that should be
followed to make journaling effective in uncovering your self–esteem. First is to ensure that your journal remains private. You are the only one that is
ever going to read it so do not be afraid to write as you see fit. No one is grading you on punctuation, spelling, or sentence structure so do not get
caught up in the formality of writing. You can even add pictures or doodles on your pages if it helps you express your feelings. The other guideline
to follow is that you are not allowed to bash yourself with negative writings. It is acceptable to write about your bad day or the mistake you made
at work, however, do not bash yourself with comments such as "I am so stupid" or "I am too ugly". If these journal entries show up occasionally,
especially at the start of your writing journey, it is acceptable. Just move on and do not beat yourself up over it, but keep at it and try to improve over
time. Seek to find something good about yourself every day, no matter how small, because every positive thought counts. If you find yourself
struggling to figure out what to write some days, there are several prompts that can get your thoughts moving in the right direction. If today was a
relatively good day, you might write about why you enjoyed your day or things you are grateful for in your life. Conversely, if you had a particularly

Thesis Statement: Climate change is natural; however, advances of human society such as deforestation, industrialization, and the burning of fossil
fuels, have increased the rate at which the climate is changing.
My three major sources stood out when writing my research paper on climate change. My main source was Louis Bergeron's, "The World Can be
Powered by Alternative Energy, Using Today's Technology, in 20
–40 Years, Says Stanford Researcher Mark Z. Jacobson." In this article, Bergeron
describes an energy researcher's plan to power the world with renewables within the next few decades. My second source was Marc Lallanilla's, "

Thesis Statement : Global Warming
Thesis Statement: Global warming is a growing concern of scientists and researchers who believe that it is a serious problem for our planet. The
concerns and research have also been questioned and have even been called myths. Millions of people find themselves affected by these weather
pattern changes and are concerned for their futures. Activists on both sides of the argument are very passionate and not afraid to attack each other in
every way they can. There are many questions that are still not answered, however, we continue to see drastic weather changes to Earth. We must go
beyond the arguments and learn as much as we can to stop what could possibly lead to the destruction of our planet, our way of life and our future.
Global warming is concerned with an average increase in the temperature of the atmosphere and the increase in the Earth 's surface temperature
primarily due to the emission of greenhouse gases from the burning of fossil fuels. As for the processes of global warming, they can occur from a
variety of causes. The causes include the things that are concerned with natural and human factors.
Some people believe that global warming is a myth or hoax. They believe that global warming is being used to generate fear and panic and that those
behind this movement are using it to control people 's lives and for financial gain. "Within the community of scientists and others concerned about
anthropogenic climate change, those who are skeptics are more commonly termed

Thesis Statement : Early Anxiety Essay
Thesis Statement: Early Anxiety is stemmed from many factors, however the main cause of anxiety in adolescents is directly related to parenting and
/or family influences.
As a child, life was hectic from the beginning. Dad was in and out of jail, and when he was out my mom and him and my mother would indulge in hard
drugs. Don 't get me wrong, when you 're so twisted on drugs there is only so much your body and mind is capable of doing, right? Since I could
remember I've been the boss, the keeper of the responsibilities, almost like the parent of my parents. Throughout school, i had constant anxiety about
school, worrying about my little brother and wondering if my parents were okay. Fast forward to the present time, still on a daily basis I struggle with
severe Anxiety. It truly never went away, it only got worse. If I would have had a better mother daughter, or father daughter relationship or didn't have
to watch my parrents struggle with their anxiety and addictions, and i had to worry a lot less I would have never developed this anxiety.
Harpster 2.
Anxiety can be a very serious (disease/disorder) it is simply defined as an abnormal fear or tension which can occur without any obvious trigger or
session; a recurrence, unwelcome and intrusive thought. Anxiety can also be defined as a subjective state of fear or tension. There are two types of
anxiety, anxiety can provide signals that alert the body to trigger it to improve mental and physical performance

Thesis Statement On Sports And Child Development
TITLE: Child development
TOPIC ANNOUNCEMENT: Sports
INTRODUCTION BACKGROUND: When a child actively participates in sports, they are able to learn life lessons in a fun and positive atmosphere.
THESIS STATEMENT: Sports contributes positively towards a child's physical, social and emotional development.
BODY PARAGRAPH
1.Physical development
The Physical aspects of development has both physical fitness and motor skill development. A Sport like football helps a child keep physically fit for
successful results during matches and more importantly know the importance of keeping fit hence cultivating a culture of healthy lifestyle, healthy
eating and exercising from early onset. The intense training aids fitness, controls weight, boosts energy...show more content...
Emotional development
Regardless of the result, the successful implementation of a training drill during a game boosts self–esteem. Coaches, families and teammates can also
boost a child's self–esteem by cheering and encouraging a child's skill development. These coping skills transpose into lifetime benefits such as reduced
levels of anxiety, a more positive view on life, fewer social problems hence less chance of giving in to social pressure, a better body image and being
less likely to engage in risky behaviors such as drug use.
It's important for a child to understand the positive impacts of competition despite a loss in a game. Adults go through competition everyday, from
getting a job after a successful interview or missing it from an unsuccessful interview to promotion because of work well done or demotion at
work. The basics of competition taught early helps a child succeed later in life. Team Sport equips a child to cope with competition in a friendly
environment. Achieving a goal by being part of a team will help a child gain healthy competitive skills that they can use for the rest of their lives.
Sports also help a child cope well with both a loss and a win as part of life. Learning to positively handle both the winning and losing side of playing a
sport combined with good sportsmanship is a characteristic that carries over from childhood to

May 18, 2015 A Persuasive Thesis Statement on Youth and the Internet
Dangers of the Internet, Fact or Fiction?
Today's youth are tomorrow's leaders. They are our future. So what kind of leaders are we creating? What affects the way our children grow up today?
Popular opinion today says that excessive use of the internet is damaging to the youth of the world in many ways. One of the most significant beliefs is
that kids today don't exercise enough because they are on the computer all the time and that this will lead to a host of serious health problems including
obesity but also other types of physical damage to the body such as "harmful impacts on their eyes, backs, and wrists" (Shields and Behrman). Another
significant belief is that children are hurt emotionally because they become more isolated (Shields and Behrman). This would seem to imply that the
future of our world was in jeopardy. But Even though spending too much time on the computer takes time away from exercise and social interactions,
the popular belief that excessive use of the internet is damaging today 's youth is not accurate because the internet, including social media, allows youth
to keep up with technology and its vast amounts of information while actually feeling more connected to the world, not isolated. Furthermore, this
connection allows youth to participate more freely in the world around them giving them more power in the world (Castells).

Persuasive Outline-Organ Donation
PERSUASIVE SPEECH OUTLINE – ORGAN DONATION
Topic: Organ donation
Thesis Statement: Becoming an organ donor after death is not only an important decision for yourself, but it is also an important decision for the life
that you may have the power to save.
Purpose: To persuade my audience to consider becoming organ donors after death Introduction: 1.Organ donation is a selfless way to give back to
others, and to be able to make a huge difference by giving another person a second chance at life. 2. The number of patients waiting for organs far
exceeds the number of people who have registered to become organ donors. 3. Many stigmas related to organ donation – relatively false, and in order to
be well informed, you must...show more content...
Also, how long a patient has been waiting for an organ is a big factor when choosing who will get which organ * Main Point 2– Arguments against
organ donation and refutations 1. People of all ages and backgrounds can be organ donors, and if you are under 18, you must get permission from
your parent before registering as an organ donor. 2. There are many myths about becoming an organ donor, but here are just a few: 1. If I agree to
donate my organs, the hospital won't work as hard to save my life: When you go to hospitals for treatment, doctors focus on saving your life, not
someone else's, and the doctor in charge of your care has nothing to do with transplantation. 2. Organ donation is against my religion: Organ donation is
consistent with the beliefs of most religions, including Catholicism, Protestantism, Islam, and most branches of Judaism 3. An open–casket funeral isn't
an option for organ donors: The donor's body is fully clothed, so no one can see the markings or scars of surgery for organ donation. For bone
donors, a rod is inserted where the bone was removed, and for skin donors, the skin donation is taken from the person's back, and since the deceased
is clothed and on their back in the casket, the scar is not visible. 4. I'm too old to donate: There is no defined cut off age for donating organs, and
there have been many successful organ donations from donors in their 70's and 80's. The decision to use the organs

Whilst cyber bullying is not physical it's emotional and psychological effects are devastating for the victim and can often lead to suicide and
depression (Hinduja & Patchin, 2010). Social Networking sites act as a platform where bullies can say things they might not usually say to
someone in person, anonymity and less physical proximity act as a wall between the bully and the victim, none the less, the words or rumors' that are
shared are still just as hurtful. Bullies often feel more confident online and they can contact their victims anytime, anywhere, day or night, not just in

Thesis On Stress And Burnout
NEED FOR STUDY
Healthcare professionals are trained to put the needs of others before themselves and spend each working day exposed to the emotional strain of dealing
with people who are sick dying and who have extreme physical and/or emotional needs, this emotional strain, coupled with other stress factors inherent
in the healthcare work environment, renders healthcare professionals especially vulnerable to burnout.
Burnout has been explored in population of healthcare professionals around the world, and studied have involved all typed of healthcare professionals
including allied healthcare professional medical residents and fellows, and dentists. The rates of burnout vary among these subgroups, but in general,
the rates are higher among healthcare professionals than among individuals in no helping occupation. Burnout has been studied most extensively in

Persuasive Essay On After School Programs

  • 1. Persuasive Essay On After School Programs After school, from 3 to 6 p.m, is a critical period of time in a child's life. After school programs help keep kids safe and inspire them to learn during that period of time. After school programs are organized programs that youth can participate in outside of a traditional school day. Enrolling children in afterschool programs would provide them with benefits that unenrolled children would not receive, such as reduce risky behavior and promote physical health. After school programs provide a safe environment for children, while positively impacting their academics, safety, and their future. Generally, after school programs are ran by schools, faith–based, or community–based nonprofit organizations. Most programs are held directly after school, but can also be held on weekends, over breaks or vacations, or on evenings. It is important to define what the purpose of the program is going to be, whether it be academics, sports, special interests, or cultural activities. Some other key factors of an after school program are high levels of children involvement, a mix of academic and non academic skill building activities, and positive relationships between staff and children. Successful programs have dedicated staff and structured routines for the children. When after school programs are ran successfully, the children involved will receive positive benefits and skills they will be able to use to better their future. In communities today, 11.3 million children take care of Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 3. Thesis Statement On Water Scarcity Rough Draft Thesis statement: The world is on its way for a water shortage. Water is considered as an essential for human existence. We all can survive without food for some day but no one can live without water at least two days. Human body consists of 70% percent of water and our globe is covered by 69.9% percent of water. But unfortunately the useable fresh water is just 2.5% out of it. Water is a social good, water is an economic good, water has ecological value and water has religious, moral and cultural value. • 5. Thesis Statement On Homeschooling Students Thesis Statement:Students should not be homeschooled because they do not take standardized tests and do not have certain support systems that public schools have. Body Paragraph #1 Topic Sentence: Homeschooling children does not have certain requirements that are necessary in thepublic school district. Supporting Evidence #1: In the article it say, "Public school students are tested and graded to ensure that they understand the subject matter. For homeschooled students, however, there are no required subjects and the statute simply speaks in terms of instruction" (Richardson,2013). Explanation: Homeschooled students should be required to take the subjects just like public schools do. They need to be tested at all times to make sure they understand what you are teaching them,...show more content... So we can know our children are getting the proper curriculum. Homeschooled students should know the same thing as our public schools children do. Also, we need to know how the child works and if they have any progress in all the subjects that the teacher teaches. The teachers can not know how the child is doing, if there are no tests to show it. Supporting Evidence #2: But there's more; statics also say, "We need the conversation to change, Coleman said. We're not denying that there are plenty of abusers in public schools, but we have a system in place to help them. That's something homeschoolers don't have" (Stafford,2015). Explanation: There is never a time when people go through the hardest times in life. Or want someone to talk to. Public schools provide help for that. They have counselors for students to talk to. They have programs for students to express their feelings and help them come out there shell. But as for homeschooling, they do not have systems for that. • 6. Persuasive Speech Essay Joseph Froehle Public Speaking Class Persuasive Speech Outline Topic: Organ Donation Specific Purpose: To persuade my audience to donate their organs and tissues when they die and to act upon their decision to donate. Thesis Statement: The need is constantly growing for organ donors and it is very simple to be an organ donor when you die. I. INTRODUCTION A. Attention material/Credibility Material: How do you feel when you have to wait for something you really, really want? What if it was something you couldn't live without? Well, my cousin was five years old when he found out he needed a new kidney. He went on the organ waiting list right away. Give my heart to a person whose heart has caused nothing but endless days of pain... Take my bones, every muscle, every fiber and nerve in my body and find a way to make a crippled child walk...Take my cells, if necessary, and let them grow so that, someday, a speechless boy will shout at the crack of a bat and a deaf girl will hear the sound of rain against her window b. Not only is this a problem nationally but also it is a big problem right here at home in Colorado. 1) Nationally, there are over 120,000 people waiting as of November 1, 2011. As of November 7, 2011, there are 1,142 people from Colorado that are on the organ waiting list (Life Source: Statistics). 2) The sad part is that there have only been 137 donors in Colorado so far from January 2011 through November 2011 (Life Source: Newsnotes). [Transition: I'm sure that you can see the need for people like you to donate your organs. But you might be asking, well, how can I make sure my organs are donated after I die? Let me tell you.] B. • 8. Thesis Statement For Argumentative Essay On Zoos 1. Introduction to Research Essay & Thesis Statement: Since their very beginnings, zoo's around the world have been at the forefront of ethical debates. Animal ethicists, animal liberationists and proponents of the land ethic raise considerable questions about the nature of zoos in a moral and ethical context. Drawing on animal rights claims, the questionable moral status of animals and the land ethic, this essay seeks to argue that zoo's; a place in which wild animal's are held in captivity, are inherently unethical. Though animal liberationists tend to include domesticated animals and agriculturally farmed animals, the scope of this essay will focus solely on the ethics of zoo's and those animals within. Citing experts in the animal ethics...show more content... Fox, Michael Allen Fox, Dita Wickens Drazilova, Argument/ Premise 2: As a result of their rights and claim to a moral status, there is an ethical standard in which humans must treat animals. – Zoo's take on the duty to honor animal rights given that they have taken responsibility for the animal. This means that zoo's must work to avoid pain and seek to bring the animals pleasure. An "informed empathy" (having a reverence for all life) is the basis for our ethical standard in how we treat animals. Going against this ethical basis in zoo's is only acceptable when there is a threat to human life. Callicott will be brought in here yet again, to discuss how we have a duty of care for animals and that zoo animals are our creations, so we must treat them ethically. Supported by: J Baird Callicott, Michael W. Fox, Tom Regan Argument/ Premise 3: The Land Ethic assumes that we must treat animals with the same morality as humans, given that they are part of the collective "land" and we owe it integrity. We must preserve the integrity and stability of "the land" (animals included) and thus animals deserve to continue living in their natural state. In this, I will discuss how zoo's involve humans as the "conqueror's" and this is unethical– we must live in ethical holism. Zoo's directly violate this land Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Thesis Statement: Even though teen suicide is one of the leading causes of deaths in teenagers, there are many ways it can be prevented. Summary of Topic: Suicide is the third leading cause of deaths in adolescents in the United States. Teensuicide is also often referred to as a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Teens so often are suicidal and attempt suicide as a call for help from others. They have no intention in dying they are just trying to cry out for help from anyone that will listen. Teen suicide is something that is endless, it will never stop but if everyone was educated on it, it could help prevent deaths. I think with people provided with statistics and further information can help avoid adolescent suicide attempts. I think most teen suicide cases could be prevent if we knew the signs to look for and the ways to stop it. I believe parents would feel safer if they knew knowledge on the issue and how to handle it. The intended audiences for this essay is parents or friends of suicidal teens. This essay is important because, as mentioned earlier, we need to be educated on suicide to end tons of tragedies. It is also important to be aware of the warning signs to help prevent. This essay is relevant because teen suicide is a war that happens daily, and will continue to happen, until we take control of the situation and do something to stop it. If family members were informed of the cause and symptoms leading up to the attempt of suicide, then there is less likely that teenagers would try and commit Get more content on HelpWriting.net

What is Tomorrow? If we for a second, glimpse into the future, we would see people suffering from the thoughtless decisions we are making right now. • 11. Persuasive Essay On Self Esteem Although self–esteem is something everyone has, it can sometimes be difficult to realize your worth. There are many tools that can raise your awareness of your self–esteem, and journaling is just one of them. Not only can journaling raise your self–esteem, but it can improve your overall physical and mental health (ref #5). On the surface, journaling is a relatively simple concept. You find a bound book you like, maybe something with a nice picture on the front, and either line or unlined paper on the inside, whichever you prefer. Then get a qualitywriting pen and start putting words on paper. While it seems simple enough sometimes people, especially those with low self–esteem, can turn journaling into a self–deprecating exercise, or they may have trouble moving the thoughts in their head to the page in their hands. In any event, there are a few simple guidelines that should be followed to make journaling effective in uncovering your self–esteem. First is to ensure that your journal remains private. You are the only one that is ever going to read it so do not be afraid to write as you see fit. No one is grading you on punctuation, spelling, or sentence structure so do not get caught up in the formality of writing. You can even add pictures or doodles on your pages if it helps you express your feelings. The other guideline to follow is that you are not allowed to bash yourself with negative writings. It is acceptable to write about your bad day or the mistake you made at work, however, do not bash yourself with comments such as "I am so stupid" or "I am too ugly". If these journal entries show up occasionally, especially at the start of your writing journey, it is acceptable. Just move on and do not beat yourself up over it, but keep at it and try to improve over time. Seek to find something good about yourself every day, no matter how small, because every positive thought counts. If you find yourself struggling to figure out what to write some days, there are several prompts that can get your thoughts moving in the right direction. If today was a relatively good day, you might write about why you enjoyed your day or things you are grateful for in your life. Conversely, if you had a particularly rough day Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Writer's Statement Thesis Statement: Climate change is natural; however, advances of human society such as deforestation, industrialization, and the burning of fossil fuels, have increased the rate at which the climate is changing. My three major sources stood out when writing my research paper on climate change. My main source was Louis Bergeron's, "The World Can be Powered by Alternative Energy, Using Today's Technology, in 20 –40 Years, Says Stanford Researcher Mark Z. Jacobson." In this article, Bergeron describes an energy researcher's plan to power the world with renewables within the next few decades. • 13. Thesis Statement : Global Warming Thesis Statement: Global warming is a growing concern of scientists and researchers who believe that it is a serious problem for our planet. The concerns and research have also been questioned and have even been called myths. Millions of people find themselves affected by these weather pattern changes and are concerned for their futures. Activists on both sides of the argument are very passionate and not afraid to attack each other in every way they can. There are many questions that are still not answered, however, we continue to see drastic weather changes to Earth. We must go beyond the arguments and learn as much as we can to stop what could possibly lead to the destruction of our planet, our way of life and our future. Global warming is concerned with an average increase in the temperature of the atmosphere and the increase in the Earth 's surface temperature primarily due to the emission of greenhouse gases from the burning of fossil fuels. As for the processes of global warming, they can occur from a variety of causes. The causes include the things that are concerned with natural and human factors. • 14. Thesis Statement : Early Anxiety Essay Thesis Statement: Early Anxiety is stemmed from many factors, however the main cause of anxiety in adolescents is directly related to parenting and /or family influences. As a child, life was hectic from the beginning. Dad was in and out of jail, and when he was out my mom and him and my mother would indulge in hard drugs. Don 't get me wrong, when you 're so twisted on drugs there is only so much your body and mind is capable of doing, right? Since I could remember I've been the boss, the keeper of the responsibilities, almost like the parent of my parents. Throughout school, i had constant anxiety about school, worrying about my little brother and wondering if my parents were okay. Fast forward to the present time, still on a daily basis I struggle with severe Anxiety. It truly never went away, it only got worse. If I would have had a better mother daughter, or father daughter relationship or didn't have to watch my parrents struggle with their anxiety and addictions, and i had to worry a lot less I would have never developed this anxiety. Harpster 2. • 19. William Kandare Ms. Gallos English 3 May 18, 2015 A Persuasive Thesis Statement on Youth and the Internet Dangers of the Internet, Fact or Fiction? Today's youth are tomorrow's leaders. They are our future. So what kind of leaders are we creating? What affects the way our children grow up today? Popular opinion today says that excessive use of the internet is damaging to the youth of the world in many ways. One of the most significant beliefs is that kids today don't exercise enough because they are on the computer all the time and that this will lead to a host of serious health problems including obesity but also other types of physical damage to the body such as "harmful impacts on their eyes, backs, and wrists" (Shields and Behrman). Another significant belief is that children are hurt emotionally because they become more isolated (Shields and Behrman). This would seem to imply that the future of our world was in jeopardy. But Even though spending too much time on the computer takes time away from exercise and social interactions, the popular belief that excessive use of the internet is damaging today 's youth is not accurate because the internet, including social media, allows youth to keep up with technology and its vast amounts of information while actually feeling more connected to the world, not isolated. Furthermore, this connection allows youth to participate more freely in the world around them giving them more power in the world (Castells). Much study Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Purpose: To persuade my audience to consider becoming organ donors after death Introduction: 1.Organ donation is a selfless way to give back to others, and to be able to make a huge difference by giving another person a second chance at life. 2. The number of patients waiting for organs far exceeds the number of people who have registered to become organ donors. 3. Also, how long a patient has been waiting for an organ is a big factor when choosing who will get which organ * Main Point 2– Arguments against organ donation and refutations 1. People of all ages and backgrounds can be organ donors, and if you are under 18, you must get permission from your parent before registering as an organ donor. 2. There are many myths about becoming an organ donor, but here are just a few: 1. If I agree to donate my organs, the hospital won't work as hard to save my life: When you go to hospitals for treatment, doctors focus on saving your life, not someone else's, and the doctor in charge of your care has nothing to do with transplantation. 2. Organ donation is against my religion: Organ donation is consistent with the beliefs of most religions, including Catholicism, Protestantism, Islam, and most branches of Judaism 3. An open–casket funeral isn't an option for organ donors: The donor's body is fully clothed, so no one can see the markings or scars of surgery for organ donation. For bone donors, a rod is inserted where the bone was removed, and for skin donors, the skin donation is taken from the person's back, and since the deceased is clothed and on their back in the casket, the scar is not visible. 4. I'm too old to donate: There is no defined cut off age for donating organs, and there have been many successful organ donations from donors in their 70's and 80's. The decision to use the organs Get more content on HelpWriting.net
