Client Communication Guide
Keep your existing clients engaged with these ideas for communicating with customers
on a regular basis.
Yearly
• Send out an annual letter from the owner/CEO of your business discussing company goals or
giving a yearly recap.
• Take note of the date clients began their business relationship with you—then congratulate
them on yearly anniversaries for using your services and products. Take the opportunity to
thank them for their business.
Quarterly
• A newsletter-style email sent out once per quarter is a great way to highlight upcoming events,
showcase new products or services, and discusses what’s going on with the company.
Monthly
• Each month, send out an email or eFlier to spotlight a product or service the customer may
be interested in. Alternatively, use the opportunity to go into depth on interesting resources or
features that your company offers to better educate clients.
Weekly
• Share articles or videos about relevant industry topics as a weekly “recap” to keep your clients
informed about the state of the industry. You can also answer FAQs or offer a fun trivia fact to
keep things light and engaging.
Daily
• Use social media to share interesting articles or stories with your followers. Also encourage
clients to use social media to share questions or feedback so you can engage them in a two-way
conversation.
