10 tips for university students
2. 01
Student law society
Join your university's student law society and
make the most of the opportunities available.
3. 02
Campus presentations
Attend as many law firm campus presentations as you
can and make notes. You might find the presentations
are quite generic, but you'll get to speak directly with
trainees and that will be invaluable.
4. 03
Apply for law firm open days
This will help you to get accustomed to the application
format and will force you to start writing in a concise
way. If you are successful and get invited to attend,
you'll know you are going in the right direction. If you
get rejected, you'll know you still need to improve.
Better that it happens at this stage than when you are
applying for training contracts.

to get some practical work experience on your
CV.
