Please allow this letter serve as a personal recommendation for Paul Blacketter. I have
known and worked with Paul on the Sarasota County rowing initiative and the
development of Nathan Benderson Park for over 7 years. Through Paul’s incredible
vision, dedication and determination, he advanced this initiative and the development of
Nathan Benderson Park so the entire community could reap the benefits of economic
development and put Sarasota County on the map as a destination for world class
rowing and sporting events.
Paul’s passion, enthusiasm and ability to drive the rowing initiative and development of
Nathan Benderson Park as both an international venue and community park is
commendable. Without his efforts it is likely that the synergies and possibilities of what
the park has become would have not have come to fruition in such a short period of
time. His extra efforts to research best practices and to add those special “finishing
touches” brought delight to those who used the park and participated in events.
Paul is truly a dedicated professional, and I personally recommend him for any position
