It is my pleasure to recommend Paul Blackketter.
I was the USRowing's High Performance Director from '12-'16. I retired this September. In my role
I worked closely with Paul on many projects as USRowing and SANCA are close partners in the
production of the Park and especially the '17 World Championships.
I met Paul in the fall of 2012 when I made my first site visit to the Benderson Park facility. Paul's
energy and enthusiasm for the project were worn on his sleeve. It was his heartfelt love of what
he was doing that recruited me into feeling the same way about the project.
I am now a Board member of SANCA and have worked closely with Paul on SANCA issues as
well as producing the '16 US Olympic Rowing Trials and plans for the 2017 World Rowing
Championships. As it was with my first meeting with Paul; his enthusiasm and energy is
contagious. He takes on projects with a vigor and commitment that assures its success. As Paul
would say "Failure is not an option!"
As a project manager, Paul is excellent. Given an end goal Paul can plan and execute the
required steps to get to the desired results in a manner all would be proud to be involved.
