Patrick M. Ogilvie, CPP, PSP
Previous Executive Committee – Chairperson
Patrick is a Director with Write Right Risk, Safety and Security Advisors.
Patrick served as the Executive Chair of ASIS Toronto from 2008 to 2010
and for 2013 and holds the Past Chair position for 2014-15. Patrick also
sat on the Executive Steering Committee of the Ministry of Community
Safety and Correctional Services, Private Security and Investigative
Services Branch for the Security Guard and Private Investigator training
and testing standards.
Patrick is board certified in security management, with his
CPP (Certified Protection Professional) designation and he is board
certified in Physical Security Assessment; Application, Design and
Integration of Physical Security Systems and Implementation of Physical
Security Measures, with his PSP (Physical Security Professional)
designation both of which are awarded by ASIS International.
Patrick is also Level 1 and 2 CPTED (Crime Prevention Through
Environment Design) certified and a CPO (Certified Protection Officer)
as awarded by the Interstation Federation for Protection Officers.
Patrick has over 25 years of security industry experience as the former Manager of Security at the CN Tower, a post-
secondary Law & Security professor, a corporate consultant with an international security manufacturer and has
practicing as a premier security and risk advisor since 2007.
Patrick has lead risk mitigation and investigations teams at the strategic and operational levels for the delivery and
execution of projects including; security master planning, threat risk assessments, security audits, statistical analysis
& open source intelligence reviews, business continuity programs, guard force selection, management and training,
emergency management, law enforcement and emergency services liaison, occupational health and safety, executive
protection & high risk terminations projects, workplace violence and harassment assessments and training, integrated
security systems development and implementation, and internal and external workplace investigations.
Patrick is a volunteer Hockey Coach with the Elmvale Minor Hockey Association and is also a baseball coach with the
Elmvale Minor Softball Association.
